Got there at around 10:20 am on a Saturday morning and, after joining the queue, we were served within about 15 minutes. We ordered the macadamia, honey and thyme croissant and the Sichuan lamb flatbread, both of which seemed highly recommended by other reviewers. Both dishes were definitely decadent and rich. The Sichuan lamb flatbread was quite messy to eat. The pockets holding the lamb chunks kept falling apart when cut, so every bite required extra caution. The sesame seeds made it even messier, and overall we found the flatbread too oily. There were also so many strong flavours combined together that, for us, they started to clash rather than complement each other. The croissant, on the other hand, was lovely - again very rich and indulgent, but enjoyable. Overall, it was good to try and we’re glad we visited, though it wasn’t quite as amazing as the hype led us to expect.

This is my second time trying an AP establishment’s food and I was disappointed again. Very overpriced. My friend and I got the ham and Gruyère croissant and the bombolini which cost $24 altogether. The croissant was very salty and underwhelming and the bombolini was burnt on top (yes I understand it has a torched top like a crème brûlée, but when all I can taste is burnt pastry it can’t be right), the cream inside was nice at least but overall very disappointing.

The hot cross buns at A.P are elite and probably the best we tasted for 2026. They are a traditional HCB with excellent spices. The potato pie is always massive hit, one of the best pies ever 🥧

Always fantastic pastries. Ordered 5 and all were fab. Would recommend: Vegemite and Cheese Scroll Aleppo Pepper Scroll Fig Leaf Amaan

Honestly, it's pretty hit and miss, but when it hits it's really good. My go to is the country sourdough, which is normally excellent but maybe 15% of the time it's pretty obviously burnt and will taste like ash. Today is a burnt crust day ): The whiskey canele and Vegemite scroll are also really good. The toasties and milk bread aren't great - or at least to my taste. The lamb focaccia thing is tasty but drowned in an insane amount of sesame seeds, which probably does something but is lost on me. It's a pricey place, but when it's good it's worth it. I do wish they'd sell half loaves, to make the cost equation a bit better.
