Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Getting around Sydney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy centres, and most suburban shops have their own car park. Public transport and ride-share apps such as Uber and DiDi operate across New South Wales's larger cities.

Doesn't feel like a gym that's been recently 'renovated'... lots of broken or old equipment and just a general feeling of dirtiness, I just stepped on some gum π needs some TLC and it could be a great gym

Good gym, have got the basics. Would be even better with a dedicated abductor machine but Iβm sure thatβs coming soon! Staff are awesome and friendly and the members do well in keeping areas clean as well providing a good work out atmosphere

This gym raises their prices due to their renovations, and explained that it was to improve recovery for their members, rather than to upgrade equipment. I disagree with this change, though acknowledge their reasoning and efforts. I wish I had the same acknowledgment for my concerns. A lady had just started 10 sets on a machine, and I explained to her that I had 2 sets and limited time, so I politely asked to work-in with her. She essentially told me to get lost, do something else, and leave her alone. This response from her does not follow gym etiquette, as many would know. You can even search it up. I told the staff this, and her reasoning behind why she couldnβt help me is that: - she canβt tell a member to be courteous of others in a **PUBLIC GYM** β a shared space with men and women (not a women-only gym) - the lady on the machine may be uncomfortable with me - itβs gym etiquette to wait for people to finish I believe she fails to understand that the lady on the machines behaviour also isnβt gym etiquette. This a public gym and a shared space, but it seems like it only applies in some cases. This similar feeling is shared among some other men I have spoken to as well. God

hyde park renovation is a sorry excuse to raise the price. anything that functionally matters was not fixed if not downgraded. there's seemingly been no maintenance of any of the machines or equipment. some bars still off deafening screeches when in use, the wooden stretch bars have seemingly gone missing, and even the leg press (edit. leg extension) was broken without any acknowledgement. (I discovered this on my first trip back post renovation. the part your feet hook under is lose making the machine bias a single leg. when using the machine with both legs as intended, it's essentially unusable and probably dangerous.) no air-conditioning. especially upstairs is appalling. it's somehow hotter inside than it is outside on some days. not to mention, the bathrooms consistently have a foul odour from what i assume is a ventilation issue. the lower bathrooms lost their sanitation dispensers for wiping the seats for some reason. a personal nitpick others might be fine with are the newly installed spotlights. they create an aesthetic well lit interior for promotional material but functionally, when you're working out and being blasted with a spotlight, it can be a distracting and un
