Some tattoos are art. Some tattoos tell a story. This one gave me a piece of my heart back. I flew from Perth to Sydney to have Lauren at Aquatica Tattoo do a portrait of my dog, Jet. He wasn’t just a dog to me, he was my best mate, my shadow, fiercely loyal and protective, yet somehow had the gentlest soul. Losing him has left me feeling broken and lost, so this wasn’t just another tattoo. It was something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. The studio itself was unlike any I’ve experienced. It has an open, welcoming atmosphere with an incredible vibe. So many tattoo studios feel dark and enclosed, but Aquatica felt calming, comfortable and exactly the kind of environment I needed for something so emotional. Because I was travelling from Perth there were a few reschedules, but Lauren and Will were nothing short of amazing throughout the whole process. They were accommodating, understanding and made everything incredibly easy. Watching Lauren work, it became obvious that tattooing isn’t just her profession, it’s her art. She was thoughtful, kind and so well spoken about her craft. I told her a little about Jet, and I still laugh thinking about her saying she didn’t want

I had such an amazing experience with Bridget at Aquatica! Often getting a tattoo (and I’ve got a few) can feel quite transactional, but Bridget was super welcoming, took the time to sit with us and make sure we were both happy with the design, and was then very patient with figuring out the sizing and placement. She was also super honest in the best way, which I appreciated at a lot. I got a fine line little number, and she nailed it!!

I had the best experience with Sophie from Aquatica. Super lovely, super professional, she listened to what I was after as this was a cover up of an old tattoo, and the final outcome blew any expectations I had out of the water. Her artistic skill, and level of detail was exceptional. I can’t recommend her more highly! (Pic is 2 days after so still healing, can’t wait to see it all healed!)

First tattoo experience = absolute vibe. I had such a warm and positive experience for my first time getting a tattoo. My artist was the lovely Sophie. I gave Sophie my idea and she somehow turned it into the perfect design for me. She was kind, patient and made me feel totally safe and at ease the whole time. The studio had such a chilled, relaxing energy too. Walked in nervous, walked out feeling fab. Highly recommend Sophie if you’re thinking about getting inked

Fabulous studio, clean and relaxing vibe. The aquatica team are all professional and welcoming making the whole experience enjoyable. I had spent a lot of time looking around before booking and everything about aquatic seemed to tick all the boxes and it lived up to the hype. Sav did my tattoo and she was absolutely amazing. Her work is phenomenal, had great communication and made me instantly feel at ease. Love the final result. Can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommend.
