We approached Astute drafting after many failed attempts to work with a designer willing to negotiate on our behalf with council. Being on a non standard land that was previously sub divided, we encountered many issues and were primarily pushed towards a cdc route, no doubt making the designers work easier, but wouldn’t have achieve what we wanted. Right from our first conversation, Chris took the time to understand not only the technicalities of our build, but also assured us that he’s comfortable liaising with council to achieve our dream home. Both Dre and Chris exceeded our expectations with the design, and their knowledge of the industry is outstanding. They were comfortable negotiating non-compliant items and never shied away from emphasising the reason for non compliance, even when that meant scheduling meetings with the case manager’s lead. Their persistence resulted in our DA being approved, something that we will forever be grateful for. Astute Drafting is definitely a company I would recommend to anyone pursuing their dream home. Chris and the team were very helpful on our home extension in Maroubra. Three team members did a tour of our house, and they provided many fresh ideas whilst also working to our original vision. They provided multiple designs for us to choose from and were very prompt with all their work. Astute took our project from zero to fully designed and DA approved by council. We will definitely be going back to them when we start the build!

Chris and the team at Astute were simply amazing! They designed sleek, quality plans for our tiny home. The design has added space and flow to a dark and poorly designed semi. Our plans were almost thwarted by a neighbouring dispute, that while bearing no substance caused some unnecessary anxiety. Chris, in his typical professional approach dealt with council and made small but significant suggestions that meant our plans were approved without further issue. Furthermore, before we engaged Astute, Chris spent a considerable amount of time explaining the process, including costs and time frames to expect along the way. Throughout the process Chris kept to the script and provided the promised outcome. We couldn't be happier!

Chris and his team at Astute Drafting have worked with me on a couple of projects in Vaucluse and Caringbah. Astute drafting are very professional. They are highly skilled with knowledge of planning, architectural design and provide very high quality documentation. They work very hard, have great ideas and communicate very well. A big thanks to Chris and the team at Astute for planning the renovation of our cottage in the Inner-West. They took the time to understand what we wanted and executed effectively and efficiently. They handled all the submissions to council and worked hard through the DA process to get the final design approved as envisaged. Their services are well priced, they are accessible and we had clear and constructive communication from the start. I cannot recommend their services highly enough.
