Planned power outage in from 9.30am-2.30pm during DIWALI, the biggest Hindu religious celebration in the year, and on a 37 degree day too. Ruined our day. You wouldn’t have scheduled in a planned maintenance on Christmas Day. It is your responsibility to be aware of the main religious celebration date of the common religions when planning works, to avoid the huge negative impact to many people.

Absolutely unacceptable. Ausgrid scheduled a power outage in Randwick on a Sunday night from 7pm for 12 hours — right in the middle of winter, with zero regard for families, elderly residents, or anyone relying on heating or essential services. To make matters worse, it’s happening again on Monday for another 12 hours. No proper support or alternatives offered. This level of disruption in freezing conditions is irresponsible and shows a complete lack of consideration for the community. Ausgrid needs to do better

The most unprofessional and cold-blooded company I’ve ever dealt with! They showed up at my home and cut off the electricity, claiming there were potential hazards, without any prior notice or reminder. They didn't even give me a chance to address the issue before taking such drastic action. When I asked how to fix it, they simply told me it's my responsibility since it's my private property. If it's my private property, how do they have the right to cut off my electricity without my consent? They acted like heroes, claiming it was a hazard to others, but they left my entire family, including children and elderly members, in the dark without electricity. It's clear they don't care about people at all.
