Outdated fleet, the SUV I got was smaller than a standard sedan. Underage fees are only visible when booking through the avis website for this specific location (which most other avis locations nearby don't even charge). I would recommend going to another location.

I rented a car for 3 weeks through Booking.com and at first everything seemed great. I paid the full amount on Booking in order to secure the vehicle, so I expected there would be no major additional charges. However, when I arrived to pick up the car, I was unexpectedly charged around 600 AUD. At the time, I was told this was only a security deposit. After carefully reviewing the documents later, I realized these were actually additional age-related fees, despite the vehicle being advertised as available for drivers aged 21 and over. This lack of transparency is extremely disappointing. If these mandatory charges had been clearly displayed before payment, I would never have made the reservation. What makes the situation even worse is that, two months later, I am still trying to get answers and a refund through Booking.com customer service, with no real update or resolution so far. Very frustrating experience and very poor communication regarding hidden fees.

I hired a KIA shortage from Avis for a week while my car was getting fixed. The whole process was very simple online and the lady at the Avis Bexley store was lovely and explained everything to me well. I was needing to extend my hire as my car wasn’t ready yet, that wasn’t a problem and I was able to do this easily just calling on the phone. Then when my car was ready earlier than expected I was able to bring in the car and wasn’t charged. Very happy with the service. Thanks Avis Bexley!

My dad picked up a car through insurance and gave it back the next day as the car was repaired. The petrol tank was full. However, the manager at Avis demanded a receipt for proof of evidence that petrol has been filled in the car. The elder female worker approached my father in a negative way, did not greet him and was very rude. Later the male manager came out and continued to be rude to my father requesting a receipt to prove that the petrol has been filled. The confirmation email that was meant to be sent on the day of pick up was not sent. We received the email on the next day when we returned the car. They asked why we didn’t read the information about returning the car when they never sent it to us… My dad ended up going to the closest petrol station and filled up just over 1 L of petrol which meant the tank was full… Just the worst customer service ever… and we felt discrimination towards our asian background race as my dad waited for the uber to pick him up, the male manager watched him like a hawk.

We had piles of customer orders, last minute decision to hire a truck and deliver all the orders we had at Sydney CBD. Gemma was very quick and informative over the phone. A lil bit on the pricy side, but there’s no hidden cost or even any deposit. A fair competitor with orana car rentals, as you don’t need to put $400 deposit down when booking the car Team was very friendly and was quick when we returned the truck.
