We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team who cared for our son during his surgery today. Our son couldn’t stop talking about how much he liked the team especially Nurse Mel, and after seeing the difference she made, we completely understand why. Before meeting her, he was anxious, scared, and stressed. But after spending just a little time talking with her, we saw a beautiful change in him. The worry on his face was replaced with a genuine smile, and he went into surgery feeling so much calmer. As parents, seeing that change meant everything to us. The surgical team kindness, warmth, patience, and compassion made a difficult day so much easier for our son and for our family. It’s clear that they don’t just care for their patientsβ€”they truly connects with them and makes them feel safe. To Nurse Mel and the entire surgical team, thank you for the exceptional care you gave our son. We are deeply grateful for everything you did. May God continue to bless you all as you make such a positive difference in the lives of so many families.

Came in to have surgery on my leg. Staff are amazing made me feel welcomed, comfortable and cared for. In saying so, I noticed the same staff members seemed to be working constantly day and night. I could see the exhaustion in their faces, you could tell they are doing their best whilst keeping a smile on their faces. I felt incredibly sorry for the staff, was actually really sad to see. It was a bit of a wait for assistance but understandably, clearly not enough staff to support the amount of people. And by the looks of it, the nurses don’t even have time to eat a muesli bar let alone take a break. Whilst I was there, there was clearly a mentality ill woman (unclear what her story was) but, she was up all night yelling and kicking up a fuss - poor staff could only do their best to calm the woman, all the while, I am also needing assistance but clearly not enough support staff. Most definitely is a hard watch. I could also hear people complaining about the food. The free food? Why complain about free food? Blows my mind, yeah it is not the best but, the amount of pretentiousness and entitlement these patients have is incredible. Look at it this way, you have a clean bed, clean r

We had to rush to the Pediatric Emergency Department at Blacktown Hospital yesterday, and it turned into one of the most stressful and emotional days for our family. My daughter needed urgent surgery for an inflamed appendix, and everything happened so quickly, it was overwhelming. But in the middle of all that fear, the care we received was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the pediatric team was incredibly kind, calm, and reassuring. The doctors acted quickly and explained everything so clearly, which gave us a lot of comfort during such a scary time. The nurses were absolutely amazing.so gentle, patient, and caring with my daughter, constantly making sure she felt safe and at ease. Thanks to their prompt action and expertise, her surgery went smoothly and she is now recovering well. We are deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and support shown by every single staff member. The Pediatric team at Blacktown Hospital is truly outstanding. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our little girl. we will never forget it. πŸ’›

The staff at Blacktown Hospital are excellent, as a regular visitor to the hospital especially ward C72 the staff & cleaners (Daphne) here are the best and are so caring. They go above and beyond , I've never had a bad stay ever. One of the nurses (Angelo) shaved my face as it was wild he did an excellent job (5 STARS) and I suggested he branch out and offer more services on the ward, Botox, daily spa etc lol. I have nothing but praise for the staff here, they are truely legendary. They all deserve a pay riseπŸ™πŸ†πŸ’―

Far from ideal. I'm still in pain and passing blood exactly 3 weeks after being discharged with an active infection. Surgeons were unable to complete the procedure. Staff and nurses were friendly and helpful. The hospital operates like a machine but requires ongoing maintenance. In my pre-admission interview, I was assured by the anesthetist interviewing me that whilst I had two options, there was no chance of me being awake during the endoscopic surgery and that a general anesthetic would be used. When I was being prepped for surgery, the doctor was delayed (possibly replaced?) and he allegedly insisted in using a spinal (epidural) injection instead - and the staff even stalled the surgery, leaving me in the somewhat refrigerated pre-sugery prep-room until I eventually (and VERY reluctantly) complied. They even suggested cancelling the surgery if I did not agree. They then failed multiple times to correctly insert the needle into my spine, resulting in excruciating pain like nothing I have experienced before - shooting from my back, through my pelvis and into my feet. It was listed as a "complication" on discharge. The radiating black bruising afterwards looked like I'd been sho
