I had two very different experiences at Bunnings Balgowlah over the past week. On my first visit, I was painting my five-bedroom home and genuinely needed advice on products and paint. I had my daughter strapped to my chest, and when I approached the paint counter, I found Mal to be dismissive and uninterested in helping. As someone who was spending a significant amount on paint and supplies, I left feeling like my questions weren’t taken seriously and that I was being brushed off when I simply needed some guidance. Four days later, I had to return for more paint and supplies and was assisted by Yougan. The difference was night and day. He took the time to understand what I was doing, explained the best products for my situation, and even kept my budget in mind when making recommendations. He was knowledgeable, patient and genuinely happy to help, which made the whole experience so much easier. I’d also like to mention the gentleman who greets customers at the entrance. He was incredibly friendly and even offered to help carry my paint to the car, which I really appreciated while juggling a baby. I had the worst customer experience ever. I went into the shop to pick up an order, just plastic containers, and the young lady at the front treated me horribly. Not coming back.

It was such a pleasure shopping at this branch last week. I was served by Mez. She was amazing with her customer service. Her wealth of knowledge across the section of was incredible. She guided me through what I needed for my project alongside her expertise tips and tricks of the trade. Thank you Mez for your brilliant service. You are a great asset to the store.

Shopped today and was greeted by a lovely lady. I was assisted by a lovely staff member her name was Mav ( i hope this is the right spelling) She was so friendly and helpful and such a delight to deal with. Her knowledge of the store was amazing 👏 Thank you Mav for your excellent customer service

Second time I have had a bad experience with Trade Desk Handy Van returns at Bunnings Balgowlah NSW. Ian asked for paper work but I said I wasn’t told to return with it and I mentioned they usually keep copy on file upon all returns .He said “not mine “ Ian said they are not Avis .Clearly not bothered to open filing cabinet drawer . Ian could not find my two days extension approval in the computer so could process the return or my refund . After an hour of back and forth task was completed with obvious incompetence and lack of understanding of customer service . During my experience Ian told another customer that they trade desk was unable to 7 x cut on timber as they are not cabinet makers. Even when there is plenty of supposed trained staff . Clearly Ian is unskilled and unhappy about working at Bunnings . Thank god I am not a business owner Oh btw Ian couldn’t find Handy rentals phone to resolve deducting additional days into my refund when it was clear printed on the contract in front of him . God help Bunnings and Handy Rentals with this kind of representation.
