Casa Mia Osteria has the feel of a genuine neighbourhood Italian restaurant rather than somewhere trying too hard to impress. The menu sticks to classic Italian dishes, and that’s exactly what makes it work. The pasta is cooked properly, the sauces are rich without being heavy, and the wood-fired pizzas have a beautifully crisp base with quality toppings. Everything tastes fresh and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with friendly, attentive service that makes you want to linger over another glass of wine. Newtown has no shortage of Italian restaurants, but Casa Mia Osteria is one I’d happily return to. It’s honest, well-executed food at sensible prices, and a place that’s easy to recommend

This restaurant is so beautiful in both atmosphere and quality. My partner and I came here for Valentine’s Day dinner last year, and again for a second time tonight. We had the same server both times, Shaun I believe is his name (I hope this is the right spelling). He is absolutely outstanding!! The way he worked the very busy room while still delivering one on one communication and service to all his tables was really wonderful. Although it was very busy, we never felt as if we were not being seen or heard. We had the $65 share menu, it is such amazing value and so delicious. The burrata was just perfect. We finished our meal off with the tiramisu for dessert and it was so addictive. Thank you Casa Mia Osteria and crew for a beautiful night😊 Would 100% recommend visiting this establishment!!

Second time back to this hidden gem! Friendly service always, and cravings satisfied :) My favourite is the gnocchi with burrata. I asked for a substitution to spaghetti and Sam was very accomodating. Love trying all the pizzas here. Ambience is nice. Music is quite loud tho but can still carry a conversation. Can easily say this is now one of my favourite restos. Thank you!

We went for dinner to celebrate a birthday with 9 people. $65 for set menu was insane, amount and quality of food provided is well worth it. DELICIOUS. The owner is so sweet, he was running it all himself and yet the wait was so minimal!! Be sure to visit if you want great Italian food.

The BEST BEST BEST authentic Italian food in the InnerWest ever! Sam was the best he looked after us, gave us the perfect menu recommendations and made our night! He is the embodiment of 5 star quality waiter service and how everyone should be. He deserves a raise as I have never been looked after with this dining experience. Everything is so authentic to the point I couldn’t finish the food! I am so coming back and if you’re reading this on Google Maps, GO TO THIS PLACE ASAP!!
