Recently I had a flat tyre and visited several repair shops in the area. Most of them quoted around $66 just to fix a single puncture. When I came to Chatswood Auto Repairs, they repaired the puncture for free. The team was friendly, honest, and communicated everything clearly. I have been a customer of this mechanic for over a year, and I was always treated well by the team — they were polite and helpful. However, today I had my first interaction with the owner, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I was met with rudeness and arrogance when I asked a simple question about which oil would be best for my motorcycle. His response was that it was “not his problem,” which I find unacceptable coming from a professional in this field. I understand that it can get busy, but that does not justify treating customers with disrespect. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

Have been using these guys for about 4 years and they have seemed okay in the past.last October had the car serviced and rego check.also told them about a faulty tail light assembly. Car was returned with pink slip. Despite me providing details about the faulty light and that a quick google search shows that earthing problems on the rear light assembly are a known problem, they could not find a problem and said bring it back next time it happens. Next day returned the car with the fault present. They had to call an electrician in which they said would take an hour. I came back after the hour and started to wait again. Another guy then told me you should just go home and we will call but he knew it was a common fault and easy to fix. I was called up and told it was fixed. Too bad tlhe obvious problem wasn’t fixed the first time and I had to incur all that travel time again. 2 months and 1500 km later I was looking at the front tyres which need by law to be inspected for rego. The inside of both front tyres are more than completely scrubbed out. Not only illegal but unsafe. Part of the service was to remove the wheels.
