I visited Chatswood Library for J P Services. It was amazing experience. Staff was helpful and polite and welcoming. JP Service was provided by an extremely understanding (I was helped by female JP , apologies missed her name) person, explaining everything nicely and promptly. I would welcome all to visit

While the library is superbly stocked and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the workstation power infrastructure is a weak point. Unlike modern libraries with integrated desk outlets, a table for eight here only has four outlets positioned at one extreme end. This makes it impossible for patrons on the opposite side to charge their laptops during long study sessions without bringing an extension cord.

Chatswood Library is one of the nicest public libraries on the North Shore. The study areas are bright, clean, and surprisingly quiet even during busy hours. The staff are friendly and always willing to help you find resources. The mix of open tables, private desks, and group rooms makes it great for both studying and casual reading. The location is super convenient too, with cafés nearby for breaks. There are usually lots of people so finding sports may be hard.

Please fix the wifi. It is terribly slow. Apart from snail pace wifi, it is a nice libary with a great selection of books. It gets pretty crowded, the library is incredibly popular with Year 10 to 12's - would be good to have more quiet study spaces. All up a great library.

Is humongous the right word to describe the sheer size of this library? The amenities are great with a variety of seating spaces and configurations at different areas of the library. They have various small conference and study rooms available for hire or special complimentary use, plus regular workshops on a variety of topics and genre. I’ve attended quite a number like art and craft, group activities and talks. I organised a small successful art exhibition in one of the rooms. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Really good for study, research and just relaxed reading, although some young groups couldn’t keep their voices down. Hopefully the staff would remind them it’s still a library and not a chat room.
