Not the biggest Chinatown compared to those found in some other cities, but beautiful, festive, and oh my gosh... the food!!! But then again, Sydney, just in general, easily has some of the best food - especially all manner of Asian cuisine and seafood - to be found anywhere in the world where we have travelled.

The streets were packed with people, and almost every restaurant was full — many diners were eating at tables set up right on the street, which added to the festive vibe. It felt like a true celebration of culture and community. One highlight was the long queue for Emperor's Puff — and it was totally worth the wait. These freshly baked cream puffs are light, slightly crispy on the outside, and have a deliciously soft filling. Top 10 must visit place in Sydney, Chinatown & Hay Market. The best Chinese restaurants, Thai restaurants, yum-cha dim sims, cafes, outlet shopping at Market City, great value food courts are all here. Darling Square next to Chinatown has the newest & popular cafes & dessert places. Short walk to Darling Harbour as well.
