This review reflects personal experience as a resident observing approved secret recent planning and development approval decisions affecting our neighbourhood that the greedy mayor and developers do not want you to know about. This council has approved multiple large developments in secrecy, blocking affected residents from consultation. In our street, a six-storey 1 bed student accommodation building was approved immediately beside our property. As nearby owners, we were not notified nor consulted before the approval. The secretive developer, greenpointe is trying to force access to our roof to install scaffolding for their top 3 floors yet our owners corporation has repeatedly requested further information about the proposed access and construction methodology without receiving any facts. Given the narrow one-way streets in the area, inadequate footpath on Margaret St there was no consideration whether this was appropriate. It is a no brainer, higher-density developments 22 floors could be built on flat Elizabeth St, more suitable on wider roads that are better equipped to support them. Yesterday, i lost two brand new tyres due to a dangerous bump middle of the road near the corner of young street and bent street just before the pedestrian crossing in Sydney CBD. And thank God NSW incident team were there, they helped me to change tyre. Please remove those divider and pay my tyres bill both need to be changed. Thank you Harris

There’s hardly any parking spots on the street around Hunter and spring street for weekends and parking rangers everywhere with huge fines. They are pleasant and courteous though I respect their job they are assigned with. It’s little wonder why the private car parks charge 3 times the rate of Melbourne cbd Many of the bins on O’Connell street overflow and collections are slow with rubbish on the street. Sutherland shire council where I leave is light years ahead. I will edit this review in the future when it hopefully improves.

a draconian city council plagued with red tapes, deserves 0 star. sam, karen & sylvia, pleas resign. you’re do nothing to help the public / small business but exercising your pseudo authority. and clover moore needs to go too. city of sydney, you’ve got a lot to learn from the inner west council, the north sydney council, & the nyc mandani administration afar.

Owner of the world’s most poorly maintained footpaths in a global city (Sydney CBD). An embarrassment to residents and visitors. Thousands of footpaths everywhere that look like a chess board of previous repairs and spray can graffiti, even newly laid paving is destroyed after repairs with what seems no coordination or due diligence of replacing paving to the original design. Whoever in charge (it seems no one) must be shown the exit door and replaced with competent staff. Sydney deserves better.
