We are a family based business that has over forty years of experience in the Hills District of Sydney. Over this time we have developed a program that teaches children from as young as four months the necessary skills for water survival, water fun and competitive swimming.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at Coulter Swimming, Northmead. Every week we're greeted with friendly faces, and the positive, welcoming environment you've created is one of the reasons we always look forward to swimming lessons. A special thank you to Miss Eleanor and Miss Melica who were my daughter's very first swimming teachers. Their patience, kindness and encouragement gave her such a wonderful start and helped build her confidence in the water. To all the staff, especially Miss Emma, Miss Holly and Miss Ritika for always providing such friendly and helpful customer service, and Miss Rana, who has taught my daughter casually and has such a lovely rapport with her. A big credit to the entire team for creating such a warm, supportive environment for children and their families. Your passion and care really shine through, and it certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

I don't post too many reviews but Coulter Northmead deserve it. My children have been attending lessons here for at least 5 years. During that time my eldest has progressed up to gold squads and my youngest who wouldn't get in the water 4 months ago is now happily swimming short stretches unassisted thanks to Melica's work All the team there do a great job and it must come from the top as this is one of the best / fairest organisations I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Catch up classes are easy to organise, the kids are assessed and moved up when they've reached their milestones, it all works very well

The instructors here are fantastic, patient, encouraging, and clearly experts at building water confidence in children. The facility is consistently clean and well-maintained, creating a safe and professional environment for learning. It’s been wonderful to see such steady progress in swimming skills and safety every single week!

Very happy with swimming lessons at Coulter Northmead. My son has been attending since he was 1. The pool is a bit older and only has space for lessons (no free swim options). However all the teachers are fabulous! The transition from parent in the pool to in with only teacher was so easy because of this. Also has an excellent app - making it easy to cancel lessons when needed and can book make up classes so you don’t loose that class. I also like that you pay by month - so not locked into a term at a time.

At first glance, this swimming pool might seem a bit underwhelming since it’s not shiny or luxurious. But the real value is in the coaches and the service—they’re completely focused on teaching kids how to swim. Our kids have been learning so quickly here. My son spent two years at a more expensive pool where they mostly taught safety basics rather than actual swimming. The teachers here truly make a difference, and we’re really glad we found this place.
