Da Orazio is a hidden gem tucked away in an alleyway in Bondi. We visited on a drizzly Friday night, and the cosy atmosphere was perfect. The wood-fired focaccia was my favourite entrΓ©eβserved straight from the oven, warm and fragrant, with a light charcoal flavour, creamy burrata and a drizzle of honey. The zucchini flowers filled with melted cheese were also delicious and well worth ordering from the specials menu. For pasta, we had the Orazio Spicy Vodka Rigatoni and Tagliatelle with Wagyu Beef Genovese Ragu. Both were amazing, but the spicy vodka rigatoni was my favourite because of its rich and distinctive flavour. We finished with the tiramisu and the Zuppa Inglese trifle, beautifully presented in a glass with plenty of creamy, fruity and chocolatey layers. A wonderful dining experience with excellent food and atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting!

Monday night and a few places are open but Da Orazio is a perfect pizza every time. The base is my favorite. Special Italian way doughy and flavorful. Our server was attentive - the restaurant was not that busy but the pizza was great. So much so I forgot to take pictures until we were half way through! Mine had artichokes black olives, mushroom and ham. My dining partner had a super cheesy pizza with anchovies. We ate the whole pizza. Apologies upfront for the half eaten pizzas pics π¬

The bread was warm and fragrant, the pasta was rich and full of flavour, and the atmosphere felt very local. Itβs not right on the beach, but that actually made it feel more authentic. A lovely place for a relaxed Italian meal in Bondi.

Had a pretty ordinary experience at Da Orazio this evening. As usual the food was pretty good when it eventually arrived. They completely lost my Spaghetti Vongole main which when it finally arrived wasnβt worth waiting for. Smallest Pippis I have ever seen. Guys if you canβt find decent Pippis on any given day itβs better to take them off the menu than serve up these things. Whilst they were happy enough to plow a couple of $19 a glass Pinots into my wife, it seems one glass of sparkling water was more than enough for me for the entire meal. Hey, I told you that I was driving, not that I was on a dehydration diet. Then they put the Leaf Salad on the bill, which despite being ordered, just failed to arrive. Must have been hanging out with my Vongole. Come on guys, you can do so much better. Iβve seen it in the past. Might give this venue a wide birth for a while until hopefully they get their act together. Not a great night.

Had an incredible dinner here and will absolutely be back. The food was exceptional β the wood-fired focaccia with cheese and honey was honestly one of the best starters Iβve ever had. We also had the arancini, shared a pizza, and enjoyed a few cocktails, and everything was delicious. The service was amazing and we went on a beautiful summer evening so sitting outside made it even better. Such a great overall experience.
