I had high expectations given the very positive reviews, but unfortunately was disappointed - the standard of cleans was subpar and inconsistent. Despite booking regular fortnightly cleans (at the same time each fortnight, so I could schedule work commitments around this) Dash & Shine contacted me repeatedly - sometimes as late as the day before the clean - to change the time or day of the clean or to let me know that a different cleaner would be attending. It is really exhausting to try to explain the idiosyncrasies of your place to a new cleaner each fortnight, and of course it is difficult for them too. While the staff acknowledged my feedback on these issues, they never actually took steps to address them - the same thing continued to happen clean after clean until I cancelled the service. As a small note, oddly the laundry isn't included in a standard clean, so the cleaners would use the laundry sink but then not mop the laundry floor or wipe the benches - obviously not their fault as they are just adhering to Dash & Shine's policy, but I'd query why cleaning a laundry (standard for every other cleaning service I've used) should incur an extra $20-25+ in addition to a $210

I wanted to update my review as the company has since been in touch and offered a full refund, which I appreciate. While the clean itself didn’t meet my expectations on the day, I do want to acknowledge how professionally the situation was handled afterwards. They were receptive to feedback, communicated respectfully, and resolved the issue in a positive way. Although the service wasn’t the right fit for me this time, I appreciate the way they took responsibility and prioritised customer care.

Stephen and his colleague were amazing. They arrived early and were here all day and did not stop. Thank you for such a great job. So professional and so polite. Dash & Shine is such a professional outfit. From the very first phone call to very last they were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced. Maggie did an EXCELLENT job in the granny flat we moved out of. Maggie did an exit clean for us and we were so so so impressed with her level of detail and care. We needed the whole day to move all our stuff out of the house and booked her for 6pm, we were impressed that Dash and Shine were open to booking a clean so late on a Saturday night. Maggie worked so hard, and we will be keen to book again for any cleaning services we may need in the future. Thank you to Dash and Shine & especially Maggie for making our moving out experience smooth and for providing such a stellar service.
