The yum cha here is very tasty, with a good variety of choices and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly. Sometimes it was a little difficult to understand the English from the servers.

Seriously one of the best yum cha restuarants this side of China. Hidden away in the Chatswood RSL club , make sure you book in advance especially on weekends. 11am sitting ensures everything is piping hot.

The service here is absolutely awful. My family chose Dim Joy House for a Mother’s Day family lunch expecting a warm and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had in our life so far. After waiting nearly 60 minutes for a table, we were served dirty tea cups with visible dust inside. When we politely raised the issue, the staff showed no apology and responded with an impatient attitude. What made the experience worse was the clear lack of service towards our table. Staff were actively assisting nearby tables and bringing them food, while our requests were repeatedly ignored despite asking several times.lt was genuinely upsetting to see such poor professionalism, cleanliness and customer service.

Absolutely disgusting experience at Dim Joy House on Mother’s Day. We waited nearly 40 minutes just to be seated, which we understood given the busy holiday period. However, the moment we sat down, we were served tea cups covered with visible dust and dirt (photos attached). When we politely pointed this out, the staff member showed zero professionalism — no apology, no attempt to resolve the issue, only impatience and a rude attitude. What happened next was even more shocking. As the restaurant became less busy and many tables emptied, a staff member who appeared to be a manager or supervisor personally approached the tables beside us, warmly asking what they wanted and bringing them multiple baskets of yum cha immediately. Meanwhile, our table was completely ignored. We asked THREE different staff members for food over an extended period of time, and every single one ignored us. No food came to our table while surrounding tables were being actively served. The difference in treatment was extremely obvious and honestly humiliating. After already waiting 40 minutes to sit down, we then had to sit there being ignored while watching other customers receive attentive service rig

Absolutely loved our meal here — this is a great family restaurant! The perfect spot to enjoy delicious food with loved ones. ❤️ The steamed live fish was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The steamed jumbo oysters with XO sauce and vermicelli. Wow — rich, fragrant, and packed with umami. Every bite was a delight! 😋 All the other dishes we tried that night were excellent too — every dish was flavorful and satisfying. Everything tasted top-notch, and you can really tell the kitchen takes pride in their dishes. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. 🌟 Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be coming back. 👍
