For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.

Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 5:30–10 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. We visited this restaurant after discovering it on EatClub. The environment was pleasant and the staff were genuinely doing their best even though they were clearly under‑staffed. Despite looking exhausted, every waiter still greeted us with a smile, and their professionalism deserves recognition. That said, the lack of resourcing created long waits for menus, drinks, and even resulted in a couple of missed dishes. None of this was the fault of the staff; it’s a management issue that really needs attention. The food and drinks were nice overall, but the chaotic pacing made the experience frustrating enough that I wouldn’t return unless staffing improves. The restaurant is located inside the Newgreen Golf Club with plenty of parking (though some spots are reserved for residents). The entrance isn’t obvious, it looks more like a residential building but once you walk in, the restaurant is right there.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. From beginning to end, they would ask if our table enjoyed the meal or not. We ordered the Fergola with mushrooms. The broth is really delicious, but the Fergola itself was really soft and mushy. The Striploin steak was cooked really well, but it was a bit under under seasoned. But the most disappointing part is the Parmigiana Vegana (eggplant). It was just a bland tomato paste mush. Overall, it has very accommodating staff with okay food.

This place has a lot of potential so I hope they see my feedback and take it into consideration. The venue itself is wonderful with views overlooking the golf course. I’m unsure why they wouldn’t open for lunch as the views are better when there’s light. Now, onto the food. The servings were way too big and they could do well reducing the size and focusing on the quality. Our meat was way too ovecooked, and the fried items we ordered had way too much batter. They did not highlight the freshness of the ingredients at all. We had the squid ink pasta which- wonderful as a plan but it was poorly executed. Overcooked pasta, with overcooked mussels. The only great plate was the oyster. If the food improved just a little, I’m sure this place will survive through the years. I really don’t think it will do well if things don’t improve from here. It felt like an average RSL type restaurant and it did not align with the potential of this venue. If it lifts its performance it has the potential to be a destination/event venue. And a successful one at that- given the space! Service 5/5- though can be less intrusive. We were checked on every 5-10 mins and it became annoying at the end Venue 5/5 f

We had a fantastic evening at Dodici. We did the Bottomless Margs and Margs (available on Friday evenings) dinner. The pizzas tasted great and the margaritas were on point. Service was amazing - a special shout out to Gene who was informative, funny and helpful throughout the evening. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful experience our party of 4 had tonight. We all enjoyed our drinks and I especially loved my Mango Panna cotta cocktail! If I wasn’t driving I would have had more than one! Our entrees (stuffed olives and burrata) were delicious. We had 4 main dishes and each was cooked perfectly. The spatchcock was tender and juicy, and the 24 hr slow roasted lamb shoulder was so comforting! Loved both pastas and the squid ink pasta was very similar to one we had in Venice a few months ago! The service was exquisite and this is a place we would definitely come back to. It’s also great to celebrate with your family and friends as we were here for a birthday.
