Luke designed and oversaw construction of our garage and extra bedroom. We are both working full-time and we would not have been able to take this project on without him. Throughout the process Luke went out of his way to accommodate our schedules and jump in to help when we were both too busy. The house is heritage listed and he guided us through that very tricky process successfully. He oversaw the tender for construction and gave us great advice on comparing the tenders received, selecting the right builder and negotiating the contract. As issues arose during construction he came up with good practical advice on how to resolve them. Now that the building is complete we could not be happier with the outcome. We would not hesitate to recommend Luke

My wife and I thank and commend Luke Durack, principal of Durack Architects for his significant expertise and enduring focus as architect and contract superintendent for a recently completed, complex strata block remediation. We own a unit in the block of six which underwent remediation and improvements. The extent of the Works, as planned, shut the building from habitation for 22 months. With the age of the building and the stringent regulatory requirements in Australia, Luke supported the resolution of significant technical matters in conjunction with the builder and certifiers. The Works comprised removal of floor magnesite, core drilling to assess and remediate drummy floor concrete, attachment of large pre-fabricated eastern balconies, new balcony balustrades, choice and application of external render and new lighting, new stairwell balustrade, enlarged balcony doorways, enlarged windows, new lintels, fire safety testing, selection and installation of new garage doors and front entrance garden design. A recent project was completed at 1/91 Fletcher Street Tamarama by Durack Architects. The project was a block of six 2-bedroom apartments built in redbrick around 65 years ago. The building has been completely transformed into a magnificent apartment block painted white which overlooks Mark's Park. All owners including myself have been delighted with the outcome. We employed Luke to arrange the full renovation of our property and fit out of kitchen and bathrooms. Luke was able to steer us calmly, had so many great ideas and suggestions, and best of all implemented the works to budget and on time. Luke from Durack Archtects recently helped my wife and I designe our family home in Toowoomba QLD, after a referal from a family member. Even though we were in different states we still felt heavily involved through all design and consrtuction stages of the project. Luke's communication and envolvement in the project was great. We came to luke with many ideas of how we wanted our house to function and look and Luke took those ideas along with adding his own creativity and designed an amazing home. We were very happy with our whole building and design process and would highly reccomomend Durack Architects to anyone looking to renovate/build.
