I can’t recommend East Chatswood Automotive highly enough. I recently took my Toyota Alphard here because I was concerned about the battery. They thoroughly tested it and even tried charging it multiple times, but the battery simply wouldn’t hold a full charge. They explained that continuing to drive with a faulty battery could leave me stranded or even create a safety risk. The battery was still under the manufacturer’s warranty, but the supplier wanted to take it back for inspection before approving a warranty claim. Unfortunately, I urgently needed my van for work and couldn’t afford to wait. Instead of asking me to take the risk, the owner went above and beyond. He ordered a replacement battery so I could get back on the road immediately, kept the faulty battery himself, and is handling the warranty claim with the manufacturer on my behalf. This is the kind of customer service that is incredibly difficult to find. He genuinely cared more about my safety and making sure I could keep working than simply following the easiest option. I had my car suddenly stall while I was driving, which was really stressful. Tony took the time to thoroughly check the battery, explain everything clearly, and rule out my concerns. He gave me an honest solution instead of trying to sell me something I didn't need. I'm very grateful for his professionalism, patience, and genuine willingness to help. Highly recommend East Chatswood Automotive and Tony, the owner. I came in with an unexpected repair and Tony went above and beyond to get it sorted within a tight timeframe so I could have my car back the next day. What stood out most was his honesty — he showed me the old parts he’d replaced along with the boxes for the new ones, no just-trust-me routine. Real transparency that’s hard to find these days. Price was really reasonable for the amount of work. I was referred by a family member and now I’m doing the same — recommending Tony to everyone I know in Willoughby, Roseville, and Castle Cove. Took my 10-year-old car to Tony’s workshop for a service. Tony was super easy to deal with and really thorough. He kept me updated with photos during the inspection and explained everything clearly when I picked up my car. He didn’t overstate any issues, just gave a straight and fair explanation of what was actually going on. He even paid attention to the small things, like putting a sticky note over the logbook stamp so the ink wouldn’t smudge onto the next page. This kind of detail says a lot about how he works. He fixed up the paint scuffs for me at no extra cost, which was a nice surprise. Tony is detailed and reliable, and I’ll definitely come back to him.
