About Feather and Bone Butcher Waverley
Established in 2006, we are one of a handful of whole animal butcheries in Australia. We source pasture-raised animals directly from local, regenerative farmers who prioritise long-term soil, plant, animal and human health above scale and speed-to-market. When you buy meat grown by these farmers, you're playing an active role in supporting better land, animal and human welfare. We visit every farm so we can give you chapter and verse about where your meat comes from and how it lived and died. We practice the traditional craft of dry-aging our meat and you can buy online, pick up from our retail shops in Marrickville or Waverley, or join us for a butchery class.

This is THE BEST butcher shop ever. Yes it is more expensive than the super market...but the food is fabulous The meat ethically produced and the advice priceless- and you can buy less and buy better. A Sommerlad Chook can make three meals!. From the heritage flour to the Mussett farm eggs to a proper old school chook. Feather and Bone is the Bomb DOT COM

This butcher is a true gem! The quality of their meats, dairy & eggs are outstanding. Can’t go past the Rocket and Walnut Pesto. Meats bought for slow cooking never disappoint! The freshness, quality and pride in their work is always on display. Grant and his team have a thorough knowledge of their meats and products and are always happy to help. I look forward to my weekly shop!

Fairly average service but I can see they put a lot of care into their products (at least you’d hope so for those prices !) - been here a few times and they seem to be absolutely indifferent and disinterested in providing any sort of assistance. Unusual given the good review but I’ll push on to alternative providers. Ethos seems good but surely don’t be as cold as your frozen stuff hey?

This butcher is fantastic. I especially love their pastured beef mince with organs product. A great introduction for people to get accustomed with adding nutritious organs to their diet. A+ for innovation

Feather and bone providores in Marrickville have long established their sustainability/ ethical/nowaste/regenerative creds and close knit relationships with their suppliers so it's Waverley's luck that they've chosen to build out a store here. Dorper lamb, pastured pork, boer goat, aylesbury-pekin duck, assorted cuts from their whole animal style butchery and a dry age fridge - talk to the staff, they are super knowledgeable abkjt everything in their store. There is also other things to purchase - good soy sauce, mirin, malfoys honey, burradoc buffalo dairy,and other incidental goods too. Much recommended.
