Tonight we had an amazing meal at The Flavour if India in Edgecliff. The food was so well presented and the exotic flavours in all meals were supurb. The Mango desert is also a must. My husband and I had an amazing evening. Our host Hayat was so hospitable and a true gentleman who made us really feel at home. All in all it was certainly the best Indian restaurant we've dine at.

Flavor of India in Edgecliff is a lovely spot with consistently good food and genuinely warm service. The staff are attentive and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared. The only downside is the interior, which could use a bit of modernisation to match the quality of the overall experience.

A well-rounded Indian dining experience in Edgecliff, Flavour of India continues to deliver a menu that balances traditional flavours with rich, comforting dishes. The meal began with entrées that set a strong foundation. The samosas stood out with a crisp golden pastry and a classic filling of spiced potatoes and green peas, paired nicely with minted yoghurt for freshness. The Aloo ki golla added a more unique touch—soft mashed potato balls infused with herbs and spices, lightly coated in chickpea flour and served with mint sauce, giving a soft yet flavourful bite. From the tandoor selection, the Charcoal Sizzling Platter was a highlight—featuring lamb cutlets, chicken tikka fillets, and tandoori fish served sizzling with vegetables. The smoky aroma and variety made it a great sharing dish and a solid showcase of their grill section. Moving into mains, the Green Fish Curry brought a coastal southern Indian influence, with tamarind, coconut, green chilli, and ginger creating a tangy, slightly spicy depth that paired well with rice. The Pepper Chicken was rich and hearty, with tomato, chilli, coconut, and mustard seed forming a bold base, finished with a noticeable kick of black

Tried this Indian restaurant recently and had a lovely experience. We started with the fuchka gol gol, which was a refreshing entrée and definitely a must order. The palak paneer was soft, with a more subtle flavour that balanced well with the rest of the dishes. The 5 spice garlic prawns were plump and juicy with a nice garlic depth, the sauce slightly sweet. The chicken tikka masala had a similar sauce but with a smokier flavour from the charred chicken. The beef vindaloo had a deep, aromatic flavour with slightly earthy notes. The beef was tender, though it’s definitely on the spicier side. Everything paired well with the basmati rice and the cheese and garlic naan, which was soft and a great addition to the meal. We also had the East India cocktail jug, which served about four glasses and was good value. Overall, a good spot for a catch-up dinner with friends or family, offering a range of classic Indian dishes done well. Ps. For most of their dishes you can change the spice level🔥

We have lived and traveled the world, enjoying the local and international cuisines. We love Indian food so it's always a pleasure to try this well known cuisine. Flavor of India has outdone itself. If you want world-class Indian food, you need to dine here. Chef Hayat shows his experience and love for the food he cooks for his patrons. He is super charismatic and humble. The food is fresh, flavorful, and exquisite. While the restaurant is well known in Sydney, I would challenge others from around the world to compare their favorite Indian restaurant to Flavor of India.
