Great River Walk is a pleasant and relaxing place to spend a few hours outdoors. The walking paths are generally well maintained and offer nice views along the river, making it suitable for both casual strolls and light exercise. It can get a bit busy on weekends, but overall it’s a good spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and take in the fresh air.

Great place to get your steps. Surprisingly busy circuit for walkers and runners. Went for a stroll with a friend circling around the Nepean River. Pet friendly - see people walking their furry friends along the bridge and river. A local pub - The Log Cabin near the bridge. Park and picnic areas for families. Plenty of bins. There's a plaza with restaurants. There is a boat cruise along the river, if you'd like to do that. Not sure how much it is. Penrith CBD is close via vehicle.

A lovely walk and very good for kids lots of play areas as you walk around and toitets. The paths are clean and easy to push scooters or bikes on

One of the most beautiful walks around! It’s about 7km round trip from where you start, and it’s absolutely worth it. Stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and lovely bridges along the way. Perfect for a relaxing walk, a bit of exercise, or just soaking in nature. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Amazing Spot for a Relaxing Walk and Beautiful Views I work in Jamisontown, Penrith, and often visit the Great River Walk at least once or twice a week. It’s a fantastic place to unwind after work or even during the day. The views are stunning, and there are so many beautiful spots perfect for capturing photos with family or just taking in the scenery. I love grabbing some snacks and energy drinks before my walk, and it’s always a pleasure to stroll along the river. The locals here are incredibly friendly, and you’ll often see them smiling and greeting you along the way. It’s such a welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of great benches and spaces to sit down and relax with family, and the paths are well-maintained. Whether you’re here for exercise, photography, or simply a peaceful outing, this spot has it all. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Penrith or even locals who haven’t been yet. The Great River Walk is a true gem!
