Love this place! A huge shoutout to Declan Thomas Peno for making the experience even better — outstanding service, great attitude, and genuinely made everyone feel welcome throughout the night. The drinks menu had plenty of great options, everything was served quickly, and the quality was excellent. The food was also fantastic, with generous portions and amazing flavour. The staff overall were friendly and attentive, creating such a positive and relaxed environment. What really stood out was the overall vibe of the place. The Great Southern Bar creates such an enjoyable and memorable atmosphere. You can tell the team genuinely cares about providing a great experience for everyone who walks through the door. Highly recommend The Great Southern Bar to anyone looking for amazing service, delicious food and drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Massive thanks again to Declan Thomas Peno for the exceptional hospitality — will definitely be back again soon!

We had some drinks and dinner here before going to a concert at The Enmore. We were staying upstairs. We were there during Happy Hour as well as on a Tuesday night for a fantastic steak special both a big hit. Very busy pub. Great menu. Lots of great choices with vegetarian and gluten free choices available. If I am in the city again would definitely stop by again.

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day today and I’m in the Great Southern Bar. Delighted with the Guinness so I just told the manager. He was pleased and told me it’s cos they clean the lines often. I would highly recommend, if you like Guinness. Often hard to get a good Guinness in Sydney. Sláinte ☘️💚☘️💚 🇮🇪

I dropped by Great Southern Bar and had a nice, relaxed time. The atmosphere was casual and lively, with plenty of seating and a good mix of people. Staff were friendly, and drink service was quick. A solid spot to grab a drink and unwind in the city.

I was getting tired of eating Asian food and had to have some good old Australian bar food. This place did not disappoint once I figured out that you had to order from the bar and then take your number and have a seat. Everything went smoothly. The front of the bar was packed, but I was able to find a table in the back near by the kitchen. The fried chicken was delicious. when I am back in Australia I would definitely stop here again.
