Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

To be completely honest, we came in with fairly low expectations, but the place completely surprised us in the best way possible. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience ended up being much better than we expected. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering how much food is available. There’s a huge variety to choose from, with plenty of options for everyone. Whether you like meats, seafood, vegetables, or just trying a bit of everything, there’s definitely something here for you. Everything we tried tasted fresh and really flavourful, and the quality of the food was honestly impressive for the price. The restaurant also has a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of seating, which makes it a great spot to come with family or friends. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down, take your time, and enjoy the experience while cooking and trying different combinations in the hotpot. One thing I’d definitely recommend is coming hungry because there is so much to choose from and it’s very easy to go back for seconds (or thirds). You’ll definitely get your money’s worth here. Overall, we were really pleasantly surprise

Hotpot City Hurstville place to get bang for your buck and flies in your food, no better place for it. Offering $50 for a buffet of limited items and food with unclean dirty tables and unhygenic areas, perhaps they could do better but who truly knows. Extremely disappointed, no point typing up a storm for a resturant which probably will not take the review to heart which can be seen from their lazy management and lazy service. The only reason this place has so may 5 star reviews is only due to their review for free drink offer. If everyone was honest the rating would be lower. Hygiene should always be number one, as unhygenic equipment and items can cause many issues for customers. Do Better. - Gio L Stefanni

I’ve been to Hotpot City in Bankstown before, and it made me want to come back again—this time to the Hurstville branch. It was amazing! This branch has a wider variety of meats, fish balls, and fresh vegetables. I also loved the dessert and fruit section, especially the DIY shaved ice with brown sugar and milk. Such a fun and delicious way to finish the meal. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Great concept and pretty good quality. Wide range of ingredients and easy enough to cook at your table. Pretty well priced - in line with other All you can eat Buffets in Sydney. It’s frustrating when they don’t monitor people taking whole trays of Wagyu beef to their tables leaving none for everyone else.
