I had a very bad experience with the KGV. Unfortunately you guys cancelled my booking when we arrived to the KGV. The excuse you gave was that there was a problem with the old and new online booking system and so two different groups were booked at the same time on the outdoor court. It was really disappointing as we had organised the game the whole week and you guys didn't offer me any solution.

Love this space. Try and play here when ever I visit Sydney. The Monday and Wednesday morning sessions offer a decent run. Good bunch of hoopers. Thank you KGVRC.

We had a bad experience on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the KGV Centre. I think there should be a notice if beginners are not welcome for pickleball. We arrived at the court first and made it clear that we were new. When more people arrived, we told them again that we were beginners and gave up the court, choosing to practice beside it instead. However, an older lady spoke to us in a very unfriendly way and told us not to stay there because we were disturbing her. We felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave. I felt quite upset. Wasn’t she a beginner once too? Even if she didn’t like it, she could have spoken more politely instead of using such a rude tone and expression. This was only our second time at this place. The first time we came, on a Friday, everyone was very friendly and supportive. Some people even took the initiative to guide us.

Had a great time at KGV Recreation Centre during the Aussie Sports Day event for international students, hosted by the ISLA program. The facilities were clean and well-organized, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. A fantastic place for community events and sports!

I do a class here on Saturday mornings with Hoops Never Sleep. The court is always in excellent condition even at the end of the week. The floor is never too slippery and there is just enough light but the sun never comes in. It does get hot in summer so be prepared to sweat. The facilities also include change rooms (which are always clean) with toilets and free showers. They have a cold water tap on the court and I've heard their gym is also very good quality. The playground looks great for children of all ages and has plenty of shade also. Staff are super friendly also. One of the best sport courts in the city and 5m walk from wynyard. Highly recommended
