I have been here a few times. Tiny place in the foot court of upgraded Chatswood Chase but with an open door so you feel crowded and narrow inside. I like the northern beef noodle soups most and its beef salad was good too! Saying the coffee that I need for any meal the nice coffee was just next to La Viet and shop staff was welcoming I brought coffee and cookie in. Not fashion design restaurant but good enough to enjoy a nice meal with very friendly staff.

La Viet in Chatswood Chase was so darn good and left a real impression on us. We were after a solid Vietnamese feed and this place delivered on every front, from the food to the service. The Thit Kho was the standout and it was so good. That rich, savoury caramelised pork with the perfect balance of flavours is exactly what you want, and they nailed it. It is the kind of comforting dish that reminds you why you love Vietnamese food in the first place. What really stood out though was their service. I was holding my baby at the time, and rather than leave me to juggle everything, one of the staff kindly carried my food all the way across the food court for me. That little act of kindness went such a long way and made the whole experience even better. It is the kind of thoughtful gesture you do not forget. Their lychee smoothie was refreshing too, the perfect light and fruity drink to go alongside the meal and cool things down. If you are at Chatswood Chase and after quality Vietnamese food served with genuine care, La Viet is well worth a visit. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend.

I don’t care how much marketing this place has paid for — I hated it. The restaurant is tiny, the seating is cramped, and the staff were cold and unfriendly. The duck was roasted so heavily that parts of it were almost black and tasted bitter. Seriously, burnt food isn’t exactly appetising. My spicy rice noodles were incredibly oily and lacked any depth of flavour. There was no aroma, no balance, just grease. The paper rolls were perfectly average — nothing memorable, just a bunch of ingredients wrapped together with no standout flavour or texture. Overall, I genuinely don’t understand the hype.

I often come to La Viet with my colleagues, family, and friends — it’s one of our go-to spots. The food is consistently delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside is that there’s limited seating inside, so we usually end up sitting in the food court area outside. But honestly, even with that, our whole family still loves coming here for the pho. Highly recommend!

📍La Viet, Chatswood Chase La Viet serves up great Vietnamese cuisine and is located inside Chatswood Chase shopping centre! I definitely enjoyed their Special menu item which was their Beef Rib Pho, the meat was cooked beautifully and was very tender! Their Crispy Chicken with Green rice is also a must try! Their flavors were light and fragrant! Overall a cute spot to check out or if you’re craving for some Vietnamese food in Chatswood!
