Hiked the Riverside Walking Trail Lane Cove National Park (no loop 5km) Went on a beautiful sunny day. Very varied terrain along the river with stone steps with a fair amount of slopes & short steep hills. Spotted a lovely waterfall. Uneven surfaces at the start evening out to flatter grounds towards the end of the trail with plenty of picnic spots, ending at Kunjeree Picnic Area. There are toilets at certain park grounds. Various vegetation & wildlife - mainly the iguana, water dragon, kookaburras (very fearless!!) & inquisitive bush turkeys 🦃! Amazing hike well worth the effort. Huge therapeutic dose of nature :-/)

Really peaceful spot with beautiful river views and lots of native trees. The walking path is well maintained and easy to follow, making it a nice place for a relaxed walk without needing to go too far into the bush. Loved how calm the water was with all the reflections through the trees. Great for a quiet morning or afternoon walk.

We had an unforgettable trip to this well-organized national park. There are picnic areas at intervals with trash cans, toilets and BBQ's. There is also a café that closes at 3 pm. If you hike quietly, you will discover some forest dwellers, which is really great.

Had an amazing experience at the 10K run in Lane Cove National Park this Saturday. Our club joined the event and it turned out to be such a great day for running. The atmosphere was fantastic and the scenery in the park made the whole run even more enjoyable. The running route was really well planned and beautiful. We did the road run, but the park also has great trail options for those who enjoy trail running. Overall it was a wonderful experience — great environment, great energy, and a perfect place for a running event. Definitely looking forward to joining again!

Entry fee -8 dollar(car) Lane Cove National Park is a true hidden gem in Sydney, offering a perfect escape from the city’s hustle without having to travel far. The park is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, peaceful walking trails, and the calming Lane Cove River flowing through the heart of it. It’s ideal for picnics, family gatherings, cycling, kayaking, or simply unwinding in nature. The facilities are great – clean BBQ areas, picnic tables, sheltered spots, and plenty of parking. I personally loved the Riverside walking track, which gives you scenic views, fresh air, and a chance to spot native birds and wildlife. If you enjoy photography, nature walks, or just spending quiet time outdoors, this park won’t disappoint. The entry fee is reasonable considering the quality and maintenance of the park. clearer signboards and more frequent rubbish bins along the trails would make the experience even better. But overall, it’s a peaceful, relaxing, and refreshing place for individuals, couples, or families. Highly recommended for anyone in Sydney who wants a quick nature re-energising getaway.
