Nick, Bella, Fiona and the whole team were compassionate and professional in equal measure, and we feel confident that our dear dad was being handled with the utmost dignity and care right to the very end. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon a genuine local and family-run business who understood so much about how best to honour dad at a time we were quite unprepared for, and the costs were reasonable and transparent as well. Thank you Maurer family, your personalised care and kindness made all the difference to my sister and me at such a difficult time.

Thank you to the beautiful family and team that helped guide us through our darkest time. It’s not an easy experience, however, I can’t thank Bella (and the team) enough for her kindness, compassion, patience and care as we arranged the funeral. You were so accommodating with working with the orthodox priest and with our requirements. Thank you for the kindness we so needed during this time.

My family have nothing but high praise for Maurer's Funerals. Our mother died on Boxing day night and from then on they took charge and organised a beautiful funeral for our mother. Maurer's Funeral staff members acted in an unexpectedly unfeeling and unexpectedly rude manner towards my mother and myself after the death of her friend on a number of occasions. Firstly, they threatened to call the police and remove my 89 year old mum after visiting the Chatswood office. Maurer's Family Funeral had been rung on 4 occasions on 2 consective days prior to confirm a meeting time. Maurer's did not return the phone calls, when the Chatswood office was visited the tattooed lady manager was completely disrespectful after saying she would only speak to family. If only she had taken the time to ask our relationship to the deceased, next of kin. The manager excluded us from a funeral planning meeting and then would pass on no detail of the church, time of service if only she would have taken a moment to inquire. Maurer's could have simply admitted a mistake and all would have been forgotten, but instead they escalated with every communication with arrogance and their presence at the funeral was uncomfortable. Payments at their office were dealt by them with complete disdain. I don't write reviews but was so aggrieved with their rudeness that if known we would have never us

You only have one opportunity to conduct the service in the manner that is befitting the family at a time of emotional sensitivity. We contracted Maurer for our father's service, and had no hesitation in doing the same for our mother. They approach the service as if it was their own family member. All the behind-the-scenes processes are completed, knowing that every part is critical in the final outcome. A special appreciation must be given to both Bella and Rebecca, as well as the whole team for taking the anxiety away from us from start to finish. A question I asked both the ladies, answered in unison and with a genuine, expression, because we love the job, and putting those at ease. I would, without hesitation, espouse the quality and professionalism of Maurer.

Maurer Family Funerals could not have been more sensitive, discreet and professional in managing every detail of my mother’s funeral. In the midst of overwhelming loss, we often experience confusion and incapacitation in the grieving process. To be able to entrust our loved ones to the care of a team of professionals and be certain they will be tended lovingly, compassionately and impeccably, is such a gift. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for every member of the Maurer team for their wonderful, loving care.
