Staff were lovely. A helpful young guy at checkin - Javide? - was super pleasant at the end of a long trip. The room was clean, clean sheets, openable windows, bathroom clean if a little dysfunctional (2 sink taps not working). Sure there are things needing repairs but for the price I'm happy, it's cleanliness, friendliness and location that matter. Also my room level 2 was quiet. A few notes: there's no lift but you can leave a heavy suitcase downstairs. Be sure to take a photo of the floorplan before you leave reception as it really is a maze, and could honestly do with more signage 😌

The private double rooms are very small, as expected from the description. Only a fan, and no fly screen on the window for allowing ventilation as it can get stuffy. The room and bedding was clean, some better power points that aren't against the corner which makes one socket unusable, and a small table or similar for bags and phones would be appreciated. The shared bathroom and communial areas were clean, and there are lockers to to store bags. The rooms have electronic swipe locks, and there wasn't any noise issues for our room which was away from tbe road. The staff were friendly and efficient. The price was quite reasonable for the prime location.

Wow, This place is where it is at! Lovely people who work there and even more lovely the people who stay! Keep in mind, it is a youth hostel so it is not the most fanciest place you will ever stay, but for the price, you get an amazing location right smack dab in the middle of the city next to central station and a great set up with kitchen, utensils, and fun activities to join in. They have security at night, which made me feel very safe! Plus you can be any age to stay (at least 18 years of age though). Thank you again for giving me a great place to lay my head and have my little Sydney adventure! Love you Maze!
