Duck livers to make parfait, black pudding, and all my favourite cuts of meat, served by the nicest young fellas in the business! Great to have them in Stanmore - makes up for the complete absence of butchers (or anything decent) in Newtown. 5 stars +

I have just eaten the best pork (boned shoulder) I have ever had and I have had 60 years experience. We have recently moved to the area and are so happy to have found Meaty's. Highly recommend their fillet steak also. Great butcher.

It was my first time visiting and I was blown away. The service was absolutely amazing. super friendly, attentive, and happy to help. The quality of the meat is next level; the vibrant red color clearly shows how incredibly fresh everything is. Without a doubt, the perfect place for quality meat. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it! Pd: the chimichurri is argentinian approved 💁🏼♀️

This Butcher shop rocks! Tested it out this morning, wandered in and asked for a Back cut of Grass fed Rump...( Favoured by a lot of butchers for its big flavour) A great start to the day for breakfast after a hard night shift at work. It was super delicious! Whilst there I also grabbed some in-house cured ham off the bone, BOOM! So sweet and smokey, it's addictive, the crew in there know their trade, it's obvious. Lots of other products on offer. Really recommend a visit, thanks Meatys, I'm hooked! Folks! I've just had the Black Pudding from Meatys! It's literally the best blood sausage I've eaten, beautifully balanced with its seasoning and texture, brought back memories of old school type my Dad would eat. 10/10 on this one! And eat more Flank! (Bavette) it's different! Not Aldi different 🤭Just a cut you should try, pan fried , season generously along the way!

The pastrami ($39.99/kg) at Meaty’s Butcher numbers among Sydney’s best cold cuts. It’s smoky and pliable, and made inhouse at the small, artisan butcher. Run by three mates—Lucas Robinson, Matt Derrick and Cameron Sherwood—Meaty’s is a recent addition to Stanmore, instantly increasing the utility of the small, suburban shopping strip. It’s a contemporary full-service butcher with a viewable meat room fronting onto the street. By full-service I mean butchers are on-hand to cut things down to size, like a butterflied lamb leg ($24.99/kg) that at nearly two kilos, was too big for our two-person household. We ate it roasted in chef Ashraf Saleh’s new spice mixes ($18/100g), with the leftovers turned into a Moroccan-inspired shawarma served over chickpeas the next night. For those lacking inspiration, there’s a range of value-added items, like lamb kofta ($4/stick), beef burgers ($4/each) and Meaty’s black pudding ($10/3). While the latter won’t unseat Dulwich Hill Gourmet Meats as my favourite, it was tasty on a black pudding and egg breakfast roll with Leslie’s onion jam ($15/300g) made by White Feather Designs.
