My room was clean and the bed was comfortable except there's room for improvement in terms of sound proofing between rooms. Hence the 4*. 3* for service, as the hotel does not have a check-in counter. Guests are to check-in at the Bar. I found that out after going through the entrance that marked 'Accommodation', only to had to walk back to the Bar with my baggage to check-in which is annoying. Location is fantastic, as there's a bus stop just 100m away and 200m to the Hurstville train station. You will be spoilt for choice with good selection of Asian food in the area. In fact, the Chinese restaurant in the hotel offers good food at great prices. Westfield mall is within walking distance too. 5* for the location.

Having such good time here as I just moved in hurstville 2 weeks back ! Been coming here mostly on weekends. There are so many things to do ! Evening bbq,pool comp and late night dj ! Vibe’s so good! Staffs treat you well especially Malika ! Well spoken and such a nice soul ! Will be enjoying all my free time here ! Highly recommend!

Weekends used to feel a bit flat before, but ever since the pool competition and DJ nights started, the vibe has completely changed. The music is always great, the atmosphere is fun and energetic, and it genuinely makes you want to come back every weekend. The customer service is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the crowd is always welcoming. Meridian Hotel has become such a great spot to relax, enjoy good music, and have a good time with friends. Highly recommended.

I booked 5 nights at this hotel but could only stay for 1 night because the room was completely uninhabitable. From the first night, there was an overwhelming toxic chemical smell (strong air freshener/chemicals) being constantly pumped through the ventilation system. I also found an open bottle of liquid chemical hidden on top of the wardrobe. The odor was so strong it caused me severe headaches, nausea, and dizziness. It was impossible to sleep or even stay in the room safely. This is not an isolated incident — the entire building seems to have serious ventilation and hygiene problems. After reporting with photos, the hotel and Booking.com refused to take proper responsibility. They only refunded 3 nights and completely ignored my request for the 4th night plus compensation for the much more expensive replacement hotel I was forced to book. This is a serious health and safety failure. I have lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading (Ref: 11546657) and initiated a chargeback with ANZ bank. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel until they fix these dangerous conditions. Zero stars if possible.

Food is good and affordable. The issue is the portions have shrunk, especially the meat. Another issue is I've always eaten here growing up: for non-pho food, I'd often asked for the soup to be seperated from the noodles. I haven't visited them since last year and decided to come back today. The man at the counter told me they never served dried noodles here. I thought he misunderstood and explained I wanted the noodles and soup seperated and always had it this way when I come here. He tried gaslighting me and yelled at me that they never do that. He acted as if I insulted him. Very rude. I won't come back
