Michael helped us on our first renovation project, providing us with much needed guidance to create a home for our young family. We relied heavily on Michael's experience and he ensured we remained focused on creating a space that would not only be beautiful, but also functional, to suit the way we lived. This was an extensive renovation project, with many of the spaces completely redesigned - Michael was able to keep within budget and worked well with our builder to bring the project in on time. My husband and I were looking for an architect specialising in classic architecture with experience in residential design. There were many details in the custom cabinetry, woodwork and stonework that gave the house much needed character and charm. Michael and his team were always willing to help us if we ever encountered a problem, and even many years down the track when we came to sell the property. A positive experience from start to finish.

Michael Bell Architects were given a broad brief & that was to extend the back of a 1930’s free standing house, so as to add an entertaining/living area. The results have been outstanding with what was suggested being nothing like what I had in mind but far exceeded my expectation. The result was so unique, yet liveable that it was featured in a leading home magazine. Michael asked the right questions and was not afraid to suggest some “out of the box” ideas, e.g, exposed metal beams on the outside under the eaves. He took into consideration the garden and made the room compliment the yard.

Michael was fantastic to work with - communication was great and Michael and his team were able to make a daunting project run seamlessly. Michael’s vision and creative input were invaluable and we’re so happy with the end result. Highly recommend!

We had used Michael to do a substantial renovation to our house in Sydney so it was a no brainer that we use him to design a country home on our farm in the Hunter Valley. The result...perfection. His attention to detail is exceptional and Michael was a joy to work with accommodating all of our wants and needs in an end result that we just love.
