I recently purchased a Miele dishwasher and initially had a great experience at the Chatswood Miele store, where Katrina provided a very professional and patient introduction. However, the installation process that followed was not smooth—the installer didn't know how to remove the kickboard (which is not the long type, but a segmented one) and told me to handle it myself. I then contacted Miele customer service. Their attitude was polite, but they were completely unhelpful—just "nice" without actually solving anything. After a frustrating four days of no progress, I reached out again to Katrina and the manager at the Chatswood store. They immediately arranged an installer, Patrick, for me that same day. Patrick removed the kickboard in just one minute, and completed the entire installation smoothly in under 30 minutes. These five stars are for Katrina and the manager at the Chatswood Miele store. As for Miele's after-sales customer service—can I give them a zero?

I don’t know which centre I dealt with when I rang the phone number as they kept putting me through to different people but honestly nobody knows what’s going on in this company. They have no knowledge of their products. They keep passing me onto different people and still nobody knows anything. I started to email them instead so I could make an informed decision about my dishwasher. Sometimes they would answer my email sometimes I would have to re-email to get a response. I called and spoke to them on numerous occasions and sent many emails. Finally, I thought I had made an informed decision based on the information they gave me but it ended up being the wrong dishwasher. Their delivery times took too long then I was stuck with the wrong item. I then had to try to sort out a swap for the correct item which nobody was interested in doing or helping me with so finally they left me with no option but to ask for a refund and go and purchase a dishwasher from another company. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated, after making every effort to do the right thing and make an informed decision. Nobody has any interest in their job there. We have recently fully renovated our apartment and chose the Miele T1 dryer and WI washing machine. They are sophisticated machines with many options with a sleek stylish design that look great stacked on top of each other in our laundry. The after care advice from Daniel, and his impressive product knowledge, at the Chatswood store has been invaluable and his expertise and willingness to answer any questions has been very much appreciated - thank you Daniel

UPDATE (2 WEEKS LATER…) I believe in giving credit where it is due, and Miele really stepped up! After some initial service hiccups and a lingering F19 error, technician Shiv returned to the rescue and successfully fixed the F19 error that was stalling my machine. My dishwasher is finally revived and running like a dream! YES!! Thanks, Shiv for the great service recovery! 👍 ===================== Fun Facts: 1️⃣ ⭐️ 1. The initial appointment was scheduled for 20/2/26, and I received a confirmation email on 19/2/26. Then, on the morning of 20/2/26, I was informed that the appointment had been rescheduled to 27/2/26 because the technician was unwell. Okay, fine. 2. On 27/2/26, I received an SMS stating that the technician would arrive slightly before 12 noon. He eventually turned up at 1pm. Okay, fine. 3. After servicing the dishwasher and assuring me that everything was working properly, he left. Unfortunately, not only does the original issue remain, but there is now a new problem as well. I now have to contact Miele again and wait more than two weeks for another appointment. Well done, Miele. 👏👏 You really do need to step up your game. I shall wait and see.

Emma, the expert professional chef at the Chatswood Experience Centre, was very knowledgeable about the functionality of the food steaming appliances. The food cooked and served was very good. I highly recommend the Miele Principles of steam class, to better understand how to maximise the full potential of the Miele appliance.
