I had high expectations for Ocean Treasure Asian Dining, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The biggest let-down was the fried ice cream. It was easily the worst I’ve ever had—completely inedible. The coating was soggy, the dessert lacked any contrast in texture, and it simply wasn’t enjoyable. What concerned me even more was seeing how the live fish were being treated. If you’re going to display and serve live seafood, there should be a strong commitment to proper animal welfare. What I observed was upsetting and took away from the entire dining experience. Sadly, between the poor-quality dessert and the concerns about the treatment of the live fish, I won’t be returning.

Came at 1:15pm for lunch on Friday. Service was alright at the start, typical yumcha experience. However, after the first yumcha carts came, the trolleys ignore the section we were seated and only focused on the main area near the kitchen. We flagged down a staff member to get a cart or some food, we ended up order something while we waited for the carts to came. Took another 15mins for the food to come but they took it to the wrong table, but eventually it came to us. After this happened, all the yumcha carts would come by but never stopped and would ignore us. We flagged another staff member to get food, they said we have to order the yumcha they will send someone to take the order, someone came after 15mins, said they'll come back and never came back. We decided to leave. Pretty much sat there waiting for over 45mins Food was alright, but tbis time there was nothing to eat. This is my third time, first and second time were great, today it was atrocious.

Buy 10 get one free, when I order 7th dished the lady remind me to get the promotion also takeaway for dinner still taste good. Also member with 25%off discount, very good value and taste around Blacktown area. Very busy but quick service. Potion is big enough. Fresh handmade.

(3.5 stars) Chef Stevenson Su first impressed in a club setting at District 8 in Cabra-Vale Diggers. With an eye for the different price points that club restaurants need to deliver, he was snaffled by Club Blacktown to open Ocean Treasure back in February 2023. It has since spawned a sibling over at Cabra Bowls. The Blacktown restaurant was empty when we arrived on the dot of 10am, but quickly filled up around us. Trolleys, manned by what I reckon is Sydney’s friendliest yum cha floor team, started as soon as our pot of Chinese tea ($2.50/person) hit the table. Having a top-shelf in-house Cantonese barbeque, it’s worth noting that if you want a plate of roast honey char siu ($22.80) with your dumplings, you’ll be hard pressed to extract one from the kitchen before 11.30am. You can eat barbequed pork in a plethora of dim sum though, from steamed char siu buns, to sesame seed dusted barbequed pork pies, to glorious golden and faintly sweet domes called char siu buns. The dim sum record that’s left on your table divides the plates and baskets into medium ($9.80), large ($10.80), special ($11.80), excellent ($12.80) and premium ($14.80). The aunties gave really good service but the manager was cold. Some dishes were really good but the atmosphere + their stingyness brings it down. My extra pancakes had a blue spot under it, looks like mould but they claim it’s not.
