Absolute 5-star experience at Oribu! Hidden right inside the Heritage Lounge precinct, the moody vibe and the stunning central olive tree create the perfect fine dining atmosphere. We treated ourselves to their Oribu Signature Journey 10-Course ($198pp) from the Fuyu no Nukumori (Winter Tasting Menu). To drink, we sipped on the Allure, and the theatrically stunning Copper Colada. Presentation was pure art, and the service was professional and welcoming. Highly recommend for a special night out in Parramatta!

The presentation of the dishes was next-level at this Japanese fine dining restaurant We tried the Signature Journey - a 10-course set menu. We were already full from just the entrees and sides alone, which had a variety of fresh seafood & fish. So delicious, each course offered something completely different Also as someone who’s not a huge sweet tooth, I couldn’t resist the dessert here! A 10-course chef’s tasting menu that was full of surprises from the very first bite ✨ @oribu_parramatta At $198pp, this experience takes you through a carefully crafted journey of premium ingredients, bold flavours, and beautifully plated dishes. Some standout courses included the Crispy Eggplant, which was light, crunchy, and incredibly addictive, the kingfish paired with kiwi for a refreshing balance of sweetness and acidity, and the delicate scallops that highlighted the freshness of the seafood. The Zucchini Noodle Yakimono was another memorable dish, bringing together smoky, savoury flavours with a creative twist. For something richer, the Nabe Soup featuring Wagyu and eel delivered deep umami flavours and comforting warmth in every spoonful. One of my favourite mains was the Mentaiko Lamb Rack — perfectly cooked, tender, and elevated by the creamy, umami-packed mentaiko sauce. This is possibly the best hidden gem outside of the Sydney CBD. Oribu has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants in Parramatta. The atmosphere is incredible — dark, moody and intimate, with the stunning olive tree creating a really unique centrepiece. The food was exceptional from start to finish. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, every dish was beautifully presented, and even the desserts were memorable. What really stood out was the service. The team were attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. I also love that everything is in one location. You can enjoy an amazing dinner, grab a drink afterwards and make a whole night of it. A hidden gem that deserves far more attention. Can’t wait to come back.

Had a wonderful and relaxing evening at Oribu with a friend. We’re both small eaters, so we didn’t order a lot, yet we still couldn’t finish dessert and ended up taking one home! The food was fresh and delicious, and the standout for me was the Wagyu beef skewers. I usually prefer rare to medium‑rare, but the waiter recommended medium because of the thicker fat layer, and he was absolutely right. The fat melted perfectly and it turned out to be one of the yummiest Wagyu dishes I’ve had so far. The sashimi was fresh, though the slices were on the smaller side. The salmon & unagi maki was another pleasant surprise! Big pieces but incredibly soft, almost melting in my mouth. For dessert, we tried the Oribu Semifreddo and the Matcha Tiramisu. Both were delicious and quite filling, which is why my friend had to pack hers home. The ambience was lovely, no live music tonight, but I appreciated that there wasn’t any loud background music, making it easy to chat and catch up. The entrance, however, is a bit tricky. The automatic door that looks like the main entrance doesn’t open; the real entrance is hidden on the side of the building and leads up a long staircase to the bar before you’
