We really enjoyed Parramatta Lanes this year – a big step up from last year. Plenty of stages, something happening everywhere, and great diversity. We liked the food, but honestly enjoyed the events and atmosphere even more. It’s not just a walk-through; you actually stop because each stage has something worth checking out. Well organised – thumbs up.

RRAMATTA LANES FOOD CHALLENGE Eat cultural foods only for a whole night Paramatta Lanes ON NOW every night until Sat 26th October, from 5 pm. My favorite part about the annual 1-day Parramatta Lanes event is that it celebrates and brings together every amazing cultural community that makes up Western Sydney. It's the best part of growing up around here and it comes to life through a city-wide takeover of Parramatta with art, music, entertainment, and delicious food. So yeah, you could definitely go a whole night here tasting food from around the world. Let's do it! The big two food hotspots of L'arramatta Lanes for me were Powerhouse Lanc and Prince Alfred Square. Powerhouse Lanc has a focus on migrant-owned food stalls. We tried roast chicken, rice, and best pic from Sierra Leone @tastcotsierralconc_au, poke and musubi from Hawaii @thcbigbigaloha, bánh khọt (mini savory pancake shells, super crispy and topped with prawn) from Vietnam @mumma.lcvietnamcsckitchen, and panipuri trom India @sangeeskitchenau. Parramatta Lanes Festival is a vibrant event with an incredible variety of food that brings together flavors from around the world. The festival has definitely mastered the balance of quality and variety, with every dish I tried being both fresh and full of flavor. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or even solo, Parramatta Lanes is a great way to spend an evening exploring food, culture, and entertainment right in the heart of Parramatta.

Only heard about Parramatta lanes for the first time this year (2019). There were 14 installations from the Riverbank and all the way to Centenary Square (near the Town Hall). Could not understand why they had it from Tues night to Fri night. Would have made sense to have it over the weekend, during the day and night! Lots of seating, food options, music and various sculptures/art installations. On the Friday night around 5pm to 7pm it still wasn't too busy. Loved the initiative but felt it wasn't advertised well enough, or the weekday timing was all wrong. Could have accommodated a lot more people.
