Our stay was disappointing and fell well below what we’d expect from a 5-star hotel. Check-in took around 40 minutes. The explanation given was that there had been 160 check-outs that day, but that shouldn’t affect arriving guests. Managing busy periods is part of running a hotel, and guests shouldn’t bear the consequences of operational delays. We were also offered a welcome drink only after following up with the receptionist several times, which made the gesture feel insincere rather than welcoming. The room itself was average and did not feel like a 5-star standard. It could definitely have been cleaner. Our booking was for 3 adults and 1 toddler, yet the room was prepared with only 2 bath towels. I requested additional towels through the hotel’s housekeeping service link, but it took almost 3 hours for them to arrive. The management really needs to review their turnaround times and overall service standards. Delays like these are simply not acceptable for a hotel that markets itself as 5-star. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel we received the level of service or value that we paid for.

The 1980s called and it wants its hotel back. Rooms are fine, large, clean and comfortable. Value for money if you get a decent price. The rooftop pool and gym is probably the highlight. Bar and dining facilities are a farcical joke. Was encouraged several times by check-in staff to participate in canapés. When we arrived we found a barman who could barely communicate, in a sterile dining room with no character and were served luke-warm party pies and quiche as ‘canapés’. Honestly, why bother, the hotel is building up expectations then falling very short of meeting them. Bar was understaffed and closed early with no notice. If I were looking for a cheap room in Sydney again I’d have no hesitation going here but I would look elsewhere if you want proper luxury, service or that little bit extra for special occasions etc. Not up to the standard I’d expect from Pullman largely let down by the bar/restaurant facilities. As other reviews have said - the windows of the property are filthy and shower is in the bath and a bit slippery. Location is great - museum train station a walk across the park, Oxford Street just behind the hotel and CBD very close by.

I was here for a conference, the building was old but rooms were fine. They could have done better with the cleaning. No water provided and there was a notice asking to drink tap water as it’s safe. The training room was good and was worth the package price. The finger food and service were pretty great throughout . The restaurant food was good, some of the dishes could have been better. The staff was very attentive and helpful all along in every aspect.
