I was ghosted by this service, twice in a row. Having sent over my referral letter for Dr Cheah exactly as the receptionist requested, I was told I’d hear back from the service within a week. I rang the clinic again exactly four weeks later, as I still hadn’t heard back, and I was informed they would get back to me within 24 hours. That was 7 weeks ago and I’ve still had no response. That’s pretty poor for any service provider, but particularly for a provider whose purpose it is to help those in emotional distress. I’m extremely upset about the treatment I’ve received from this clinic.

Sarah Jane Spencer would have to be the biggest time waster of any health professional I’ve ever dealt with. Not once, has she ever been on time for an appointment! Waiting up to 2 hours is NOT okay and the fact that it happens EVERY TIME is genuinely ridiculous. The fact that I have to pay an extra $200 if I go 20 minutes over time, yet I don’t receive any compensation for the absurd amount of time I spend sitting in that waiting room!? I wouldn’t doubt for a second that she is intentionally stalling appointments to rinse her clients for the most money possible. I should not have to miss my own commitments because she simply just doesn’t respect my time. I’m not reading the same issue of Women’s weekly that’s been sitting there for the last 2 years. Receptionist even made a comment “this happens a lot” when asked how much longer I’d be waiting. You’ve been warned.

I have been to many a clinic. I can’t fault RNS Clinic. Magnificent staff and sessions that teach so much. Your bedroom has a television, private bathroom. The days run quickly, no boredom for me and the food!!!!!!

Dr Nicole Burston immediately dismissed me potentially having ADHD without a formal assessment and barely knowing my history when I was seeing her. I recently received a formal diagnosis, 3-4 years later as my GP would occasionally ask if I was willing to go through the assessment. Reading a lot of these reviews, it is apparent that various psychiatrists rule out ADHD and will diagnose their patients with BPD or bipolar, even thought they can all coexist, or they might just be getting misdiagnosed. There's lower ratings for both empathy and compassion than there are higher ones.

this hospital's patients peer pressured me into an extreme nicotine addiction. still can't drop the addiction and it's been 6 years since i've been admitted here. BE VERY CAREFUL and never admit yourself to this hospital. save yourself and go elsewhere for help.

Dr Pri Wettasinghe diagnosed me with ADHD about three years ago, and it made a huge difference in my life. He was professional, calm, and easy to talk to, which made the whole process feel a lot less daunting. He took the time to listen and explain things properly, and I never felt rushed or judged. I’m genuinely grateful for his ongoing care and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking help.

northside has always been a safe space for me in recovery and i highly recommend it for people seeking help. in i’m sad reading the reviews and seeing that many patients had negative experiences in the ramsay clinic. i have been admitted 3 times to the eating disorder unit throughout ages 14-18. although the atmosphere may be tense, it is not the clinics fault. mental illnesses are extremely competitive and northside does everything they possibly can to support the patients. the nurses on level 7 gave me so much comfort and support whilst i was away from everything i know and struggling with an active disorder. they provide beneficial programs for people with active eating disorders. the therapists help you gain insight with your own emotions and adapt new recovery techniques whilst also gaining knowledge from other patients. the activities where inclusive and immersive and allowed people to participate however they feel most comfortable. there is also a massive highlight on sensitivity and assuring their are no comments that can minimise other patients experiences. NURSES JAY, VIC, SALLY and BEC are the most kind and caring beings i’ve met and they deserve so much positive reco

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors and cooks who cared for me while I was there. There are many wonderful people in this place but you have to advocate for what you need if you’re going to get the most out of it. Special shoutout to Dr Hannon for being amazing. On a serious note I was there it became very apparent that Ramsay Clinic is a for profit organisation who clearly push their staff too far and underfund the units, especially over holiday periods. Also why on earth is this giant fish in this tiny tank? Really grim stuff - needs to be rehomed!!!
