I have had decent experiences with them in the past but recently just got a brow wax and my eyebrows have never been so bad before. They were fairly thick to begin with and now they are so thin I can’t even look at my self in the mirror. I am beyond disappointed, I was highly concerned with the amount of plucking that was being done and I trusted her to do a simple wax of the unwanted hairs out of place. Now there is no shape at all.

Great experience doing my laser hair removal treatment at this beauty place. It's my first time. Tiahna was professional in giving tips about after care, including a small card as a reminder. I had an issue with potential folliculitis when the weather was hot. It settled well. They send email reminders when it's time for the next one. It's easy to book treatment online. The laser treatment itself was gentle, certainly prickly painful initially but improved in subsequent sessions. After years of waxing, I'm so glad that I plucked up courage to do laser hair removal which turns out to be similar to waxing in terms of pain. Now, I only need touch up treatment, will certainly return to this place for that.

I was a client of Retreat to Beauty and initially trusted the team with my skin. That makes this review all the more difficult, and necessary, to write. I came in seeking advice for one small spot of sun damage. Instead of a conservative or targeted approach, I was recommended an aggressive treatment that covered a much larger area of my face — including areas that weren’t of any concern. I trusted their judgment as professionals, and unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The treatment left my skin permanently damaged. The settings used were clearly too strong, and the aftercare was completely inadequate. Despite my repeated concerns, I was told the reaction was “normal.” It wasn’t. A dermatologist has since confirmed the reaction was not normal and that the aftercare I was given — including retinol — only worsened the condition. There was no genuine support unless I chased, emailed and called (none of my calls where ever returned - only emails). The only offer of care, came weeks later after my consistent badgering, photos and sleepless nights. I accepted a peel out of desperation (which was essentially scrubbing the surrounding skin in an attempt to blend it, and an LED). M
