I visited this church and had a disappointing experience during Communion. As a visitor from another Catholic church, I was unfamiliar with the expectation here to consume the host immediately. In the Catholic church I attend, it is accepted practice to consume the host while walking away from the priest, so I did not realise there was a different expectation in this parish. Instead of a discreet explanation, the priest publicly called me out in front of the congregation and questioned my actions and faith, which felt unnecessarily harsh and embarrassing. The priest exhibited very poor judgement and a lack of basic pastoral sensitivity in how this was handled. While I respect the Catholic belief in the Eucharist and understand there are specific practices to follow, visitors should be guided respectfully rather than publicly corrected. Unfortunately, what should have been a reverent moment of worship became an uncomfortable and alienating experience.

Love this Church! Lots of beautiful Saint statues like the old days. A bunch of young priests just took over. Plenty of opportunities for Confession. Not much music as Masses are celebrated almost every hour on Sunday but prayerful and reverently celebrated liturgies. FYI the cafe in the old convent chapel is now closed.

A beautiful church, warm & inviting, placing Jesus as the centre of attention. The statues of saints on the walls remind me of old-style catholic churches that foster piety & the teaching of doctrine through ...paintings & sculptures.

This was 1st time coming here and attending Sunday mass. The church here was very quite and a good place for praying and contemplate. There were many mass time for each 1 hour. The architecture was good and i lived the interior. People said this church is the oldest catholic church in town. I visited this church because near my hotel I stayed in around Australia square. I came earlier before the on going mass finished so I had to wait around 10 - 15 minutes.

Very beautiful church with great access to Mass and Confession. All walks of life can be found here. The community is welcoming and equipped to engage the challenges of everyday life.

When you need a moment of slience and peacefullness, this church will take your blues away. The perfect place for prayer and medidation at the heart of a busy district. Theres a cafe at the courtyard that serves really good soup with toast. The cafe can rightfully claim it as "soup for the soul". Their deserts are to die for and the cappucino I ordered was really good. I guess the volunteers who were so warm and friendly made this cafe really special.

A place of calm in an otherwise busy area. Just a few minutes away is tourist central and it's loud and teeming with activity. Once inside, you get quiet and peace. Not a very big church, but full of character, beautiful interiors and warmth.

St Patrick Church has a very captivating interior. Beautiful glass and statues of saints. I love the details of the interior and that this church has a peaceful atmosphere inside. While the church is not as big as St Mary, it has an entirely different experience (both in good ways). The church provides weekly newsletter and insightful writings (which I would say much more compared to others). Also papers explaining the statues and glasses of saints. Go and check the writings 👍 Beside of the main door, there's the statue of Mother Mary where some people would give flowers for her 🤗
