I love attending Mass and receiving Holy Communion here. I like lighting candles and saying my prayers. Great sermon. Peaceful and great location. The store is a great place to buy Catholic statues, Religious(prayers, messages) and rosaries. One of the best Catholic shops I have been too!🙏

We were looking for a church to attend our Saturday evening mass. St Peter Julian was just across the street from our hotel. Looking at the church from the outside, it is a bit misleading as it looks just like one of the normal buildings in the city. We were amazed at how beautiful this church was when we entered. Attended the Saturday vigil mass which was beautiful.

I like St Peter Julian Church, because it is very close to Town Hall station and on the 1st and 3rd week there is an Indonesian language Mass, so my longing for Indonesian Mass is satisfied

Moved. Touched by the Holy Spirit. Thank you Fr Boris Perlaki for saying the mass as it should — with utmost reverence. What a wonderful way to recharge midday and reconnect with the Father. If you are in the area, I highly recommend attending the 12:10 pm daily mass. Praise God and blessings to SSS. 🙏

St Peter Julian’s in Haymarket is truly a hidden gem in the heart of the city. I’ve been coming here since high school, and it continues to be a peaceful and welcoming place of prayer. Because it blends so well with its surroundings, it’s easy to miss—but once you step inside, you’ll find a beautiful and reverent space perfect for quiet reflection and spiritual renewal. The priests here are incredibly friendly and always make you feel welcome. Their homilies are thoughtful and uplifting, adding to the overall experience. The Church also offers a great range of accessible Mass times, making it convenient for both locals and visitors to attend, even in the middle of a busy workday. Beyond the spiritual atmosphere, the location is fantastic—right in Haymarket, close to public transport and the hustle of the city. Despite being in such a central spot, it still provides a sense of peace and calm, making it the perfect place to take a break from the noise of daily life. Whether you’re looking for a regular place to attend Mass or just a quiet moment of prayer, St Peter Julian’s is definitely worth a visit.

Small place for solace in the middle of one of Sydney's busiest streets. Didn't realize there was even a church until I actually saw it after alighting from the Chinatown tram station.

Very cool peaceful place to meditate, rest and share your thoughts with the Devine. Located on main street. Check the opening and closing hours.

This lovely Catholic Church was a lovely find and sweet relief from a busy street in Haymarket. The priest was happy, filled with joy and a wonderful homilist. Daily Mass at 12:10 well attended by locals and visitors too. Adoration before and after mass. There is a great little gift shoppe too! St Peter Julian’s Church was established by the Blessed Sacrament Congregation of priests and brother in 1929, when five priests and two brothers travelled from Canada and the United States to assume the pastoral care of the historic St Francis’ Church in the centre of Melbourne. These members of the French (now international) religious order founded in 1856 by St Peter Julian Eymard. The current property was purchased in 1952 and redeveloped to create a monastery and a small city chapel, which was known as the Church of the Blessed Sacrament when opened by Cardinal Norman Gilroy on 30 August 1953. It was recently remodeled in 2009 Perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament began at the outset, despite the relatively low number of members of the religious community at that time. The new church was the first in the world to be named after St Peter Julian Eymard, who was canonised in
