With services such as the ones offered by this benevolent charity, there is no need for any individual (regardless of current employment/accommodation status) to go without food, or offer pungent reminders of the benefits of a hygienic disposition. A delicious lunch is served daily on weekdays for an hour from noon, with takeaway only available for another 15 minutes. All meals are $2.00, or $2.50 for takeaway... except on THURSDAY WHEN ALL MEALS ARE FREE. Lunches consist of a main (generally MEAT BASED) menu plus a small dessert. There are a number of benevolent on-site services provided for clients, such as EAPA vouchers and showers to restore the dignity of those most in need. No money?? Ask for the wonderful and irreplaceable Monica behind the counter in the kitchen. Provided you can supply valid ID, credit can be requested a maximum of 3 times. And if the recycling machine in the op shop store in Crown St connected to Street Level is working, you can receive 15c per can (rather than the ubiquitous 10c refund offered elsewhere) which, if used instore, means you only need to find 13 discarded drink items to redeem for a meal. I love this place they have $2 lunches all week except Thursday's free community lunch also has a lot of services for the needs of every day people's problems has a walking group on Wednesday's at 2pm l go often on & offers lots more hours are 9.30am - 3.30pm Monday to friday
