Always great finds at Chatswood Salvos: nice crockery, home decorations, plenty of clothes. And this time a number of violins! Dana’s team is warm and welcoming. Lovely sight seeing Barbara, an elderly shopper, being served coffee and cookies, enjoying her cuppa in a comfy armchair right by the shoe section. Such a lovely touch!

I have never felt more unwelcome and treated like a criminal in my life. On more than one occasion… Staff stand outside changing rooms - including a man which made me very uncomfortable behind a flimsy poorly fitted curtain. I was followed around the store, and yesterday after spending. $90 on a few items (and yes I am a “member”) I was pounced on in the doorway and asked to check my bags and show receipt. Which was embarrassing and uncalled for. I am not your demographic shop lifter. Do yourselves a favour THRIFTIES and drive to Neutral Bat or Balgowlah where everyone is wonderful. Chatswood is an awful awful uncharitable experience!!! Shameful really.
