Absolutely love shopping at Sam's. The quality of the meat is consistently excellent, fresh, and reasonably priced for the quality you get. Sam and the team are always happy to recommend the best cuts or cooking tips. It’s becoming harder to find genuine local businesses with this level of service and care. Highly recommend their steaks, marinated meats, and BBQ packs. A real local gem in Bondi!

I have been reading some of the negative reviews here and wanted to share my experience. I have been ordering meat from here for a few years now. My first delivery didn't go well because it was stuck with the delivery company for a couple of days and was over 20 degrees by the time it reached me. Sam then actually came and delivered a replacement personally which I was not expecting at all. Since then every interaction has been good - the only thing is communication about missing items or sometimes if something is underweight, so I do need to double check. But when I email them, it is added to the next order. Pretty much all the meat has been good and if something isn't right, I email them and make a note in my next order and it's replaced. For bones, offal and things to make broth, the products are excellent value and some of the cheaper cuts like lamb rosettes are so delicious slow cooked. Recently tried the duck confit - delicious! The delivery company maybe isn't the best tbf but since I am Sydney based, things always arrive next day and are still well chilled. I will keep ordering from here, good selection of meat and good quality.

I’ve bought here a few times. Never noticed that they advertise one price and charge another until my work colleague brought up being scammed by this butcher. I went in this week and was told it would be $35 a kg. I was charged at $39kg. Remember to checks the price.

As a customer of Sam the Butcher for over five years, and someone who has acquired a taste for ethically-raised, organic and grass-feed meats, in my opinion, hands down, Sam the Butcher has a selection of the tastiest organic, grass-fed, and free-range beef, lamb and poultry in Australia, and, at a great price compared to the range of organic and grass-feed meats offered by supermarket chains. Bought some pork sausages here today and they were definitely stale. I could not eat them. The shop had a terrible smell and when I opened the packet there was a strong stench. Really disappointing and the service in the shop was also not good. Would not recommend at all, go to Woolies instead!
