We went for the test kitchen Thursday, and we were not disappointed. Really gorgeous restaurant nestled in the heart of Manly & the food is fresh and delicious. We can’t wait for our next visit.

🦪✨when in Manly… freshly shucked oysters are calling you at @shucksbar !! we got✨🍽️ 🦪a dozen natural oysters ($3 each - happy hour!) 🐟 Port Lincoln chargrilled sardine ($25) 🍝 Qld prawn, spanner crab & squid ink spaghetti ($42) 🍟shucks battered fish & chips ($31) my parents, as great lovers of oysters, beelined as soon as they saw their happy hour of 50% off each oyster every sunday 12pm-3pm🤣✨🦪fresh and delicious is what they described them as i do not eat oysters🙂↕️ in turn i very much inhaled the rest of the meal, the sardine starter was a little small but my goodness did it pack flavour🤤the only thing was i found the portion a bit small for the price🤧the spaghetti was so delish, zesty with tons of fresh crab and prawn chunks throughout🍋🍝 now the fish & chips was truly special, firstly with the fish being cobia, a fish i’ve never tried before but would very happily eat again, so perfect for battered!🐟✨the triple cooked chips were divineeeee, petition for all chips to be like this🔥🍟

I wish I had better photos of the food! Unfortunately you’ll just have to settle for the cropped photos of us enjoying the food. The problem was, the food was too delicious to even wait for a photo shoot, we demolished it as soon as it arrived. We had our anniversary here and the food was incredible. Loved every bit of the dining experience and so proud that it’s somewhere local, just in Manly. The staff were super friendly. We were really impressed by their drinks/cocktail menu. Can’t wait to try the oyster happy hour. Highly recommend. We will be back, often!

The food was lovely and a reasonable price - we got the chef selection for 65$pp and my husband had the paired wines for 45$. It was a very humid January evening and I was a ball of sweat. No air conditioning, and no fans on the balcony. Very still night until the storm rolled in. Would have given 5 stars if they had a fan on the balcony for air circulation.
