SIXT Car Hire Sydney City & Truck Rental

This was my first less-than-fully-satisfied experience with SIXT, primarily because the vehicle had no USB charge port for my phone. I was reliant on my phone's GPS app for the one hour drive west across the extremity of Sydney to reach my first destination (accompanied by a Spotify playlist, if that's not expecting too much) and was fortunate that the State Govt institution at Kingswood provided me a recharging adapter to continue on to two other destinations in Bella Vista and Petersham. I thought I would have the fallback of the vehicle's own GPS app, but the car's screen displayed a message that the vehicle's subscription to its inbuilt GPS had expired! The car itself was perfectly fine, but if you're not completely up to date with Sydney's current road system, a working GPS app is essential, IMO.

During our trip to Sydney, we only needed a car for a few hours. We initially planned to use GoGet, but the process was quite complicated and the vehicle we found was not in great condition. Since there was a Sixt branch nearby, we decided to make a reservation instead. Before our arrival, Simon contacted us and kindly reminded us to bring our driver's licence and credit card. When we arrived, he took the time to explain all the available discounts and options in detail, which was greatly appreciated. Not only was the daily rental rate cheaper than renting a GoGet vehicle for just a few hours, but the car was also exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Most importantly, Simon warmly welcomed us in Korean, which made us feel very comfortable and valued as customers. His outstanding customer service helped make our Sydney trip even more enjoyable. Thank you, Simon, for going above and beyond. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with SIXT. The car was clean, comfortable, and reliable, making our drive from Sydney to Oberon and back very smooth and enjoyable. Pickup and return were easy, and the whole trip was stress-free. Highly recommended for long drives and road trips.

Sixt made an effort to provide the car requested and it was charged ready to go when we arrived. We made the usual photo record of the car and headed off to the Blue Mountains. On the way we pumped up the tyres which were a bit low (possibly set with warm tyres) … we set them at 43 psi which is a little above the 42 psi recommended. The tyres were good for the remainder of the trip. We went to Orange, Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Lockhart then back to Sydney without any charging problems or other difficulties … we charged the car up to 99% in Alexandria before returning it.

Reservation - The booking interface and experience was smooth. Any changes to it was also attended to quickly. Getting the car - We had the absolute pleasure of being attended by Michelle. She was mindful, attentive and friendly! The car - We received our car in great condition and it was such a great drive. Loved it so much we are considering getting it when we are back in our home country. We initially got 1 booster and 1 baby car seats and upon seeing it and realising we needed to downsize, they were able to switch out the booster with another baby seat smoothly. Return - It was fuss-free and easy. Simply park and drop the key off. Overall - Great experience. I would rent a car from Sixt Sydney City if i ever return :)
