I was craving a spinach and cheese gozleme so decided to give City Kebabs a try, but what a mistake. I thought surely they can’t mess up spinach and cheese, but somehow they did. They literally pulled out a premade sheet and reheated it instead of making it fresh. The texture was soggy rather than crispy and fluffy, and the filling was bland with barely any flavour from the cheese or spinach. It felt more like a convenience store frozen snack than something from a kebab shop. What disappointed me most was that gozleme is usually such a safe order. Even average places can get it right because the combination is simple and comforting. This one somehow missed the mark completely. Do yourself a favour and go to the one in the Myer food court instead if you’re craving gozleme. The difference in freshness and texture is night and day.

Ordered the chicken kebab from here, and will say the service was good, staff were friendly, and the kebab was really nice! The meat was well seasoned and cooked through, and the salad was fresh. Used the right amount of sauce, and overall was a filling meal. I considered getting a combo, and while I understand the economy is not great, I felt that +$9 for chips and a drink was too steep for me.

Love their food! good price with an amazing quality the meats were moist and delicious and large portions! i found this place right next to my hostel while I’m visiting sydney and I feel like i’m coming here for every lunch or dinner! the guy who’s working here was so friendly too! 100% recommend trying kebab here if you’re planning to visit Sydney:))

Bread (0–3 points): 1.5 points (The bread is more or less toasted tortilla bread, which gives a sour aftertaste I’m not a fan of. Pan-fried and ends up both crispy and soft.) Salad (cucumber, tomato, lettuce and onion), 0–2 points: 1.5 points (No cucumber.) Any free extra toppings (e.g. red cabbage, hummus, tabbouleh), 0–1 point: 0 points (It cost extra to add anything extra.) Meat (0–5 points): 2 points (The meat lacks seasoning and a proper sear! On the plus side, it’s edible and actually tastes like real meat.) Chilli (0–2 points): 0.5 points (Too little, and not much love when it’s basically just Tabasco or something similar squirted on.) Dressing (0–2 points): 0 points (No hummus.) Portion size / how full you felt (0–2 points): 2 points (Decent level of fullness.) Service (0–1 point): 1 point (Very friendly bloke behind the counter.) Price (0–3 points, where 3 points = 30–40 kr, 2.5 points = 40–50 kr, 2 points = 50–60 kr, 1.5 points = 60–70 kr, 1 point = over 70 kr): 1 point 9.5 / 21 points = 2.26 stars → rounded down to 2 out of 5 stars. But service was very good —> 3 stars.

Came here last night exhausted and starving after a bridge climb. The food was delicious and so tasty. The chips were really yummy. Reasonable price and quick friendly service.
