The game master was amazing and the theme was fire. We did the espionage as a group of two and you can tell the intricacies of the design in every part of the room. Would definitely come again for the other rooms!

After doing an escape room everywhere we travel to, we were starting to lose hope that we could find one that surprised us and the Marlowe Hotel did exactly that. As we discussed, it was an escape room that was completely intentional, extremely playful and theatrical without compromising the flow of the game. It also doesn’t end there. Our gamemaster Liam was one of our absolute favourites if not favourites we have had as he brought such great energy, was just as passionate (did not treat us like his 100th group he was explaining the game to which we would’ve understood anyway) and was the perfect amount of helpful with hints knowing exactly how much to say without giving anything away. We loved it so much we think we will have to fit in another before the end of our trip. If you’re thinking of coming to Cipher Rooms, do yourself a favour and make sure you do! Also the biggest thank you to the owners as Liam walked us through all of the intricate workings of the room, you can tell they really go the extra mile for our experience.

Great room, great design and very clever rooms. Our games master was brilliant and we very much needed some clues haha. Warning dont arrive early, we were locked out of the premises and had the door closed and locked in our faces as "they were on break". Lucky it was pre-paid as no way we would have went back, lucky we did as the experience was excellent (our host was different to the initial person, phew)

We had such an amazing time at this escape room! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was immersive and really set the tone for the whole experience. The puzzles were clever, challenging without being frustrating, and required great teamwork, which made it even more fun. What really stood out was the attention to detail in the room design—everything felt well thought out and engaging. The staff were super friendly and explained everything clearly without giving too much away, which we appreciated. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or even colleagues, this is such a fun and memorable activity. We’ll definitely be coming back to try the other rooms. Highly recommend!

Always have such an incredible time at the Cipher Room. The rooms are genuinely clever, beautifully designed, and feel more like stepping into a story than just solving puzzles. You can tell a lot of care has gone into the game design — everything flows and nothing feels random. The staff are absolute gems too. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and inviting. They’re clearly knowledgeable about each room and are always up for a yarn about your experience and give great recommendations on which rooms to try next. If you’re into escape rooms with real atmosphere, smart puzzles, and people who actually care, this place is a must!
