For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.
Opening hours are published for 1 day a week. Typical hours are 8 pm–5 am. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is thecliffdive.com.au, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Really disappointed. Me and my 2 friends came around 10pm, had a few drinks, enjoyed the music. Everything was fine. One of my friends went outside for a quick smoke. When she came back, security suddenly refused to let her in because they said she “looked drunk.” How? She wasn’t causing any trouble or being aggressive. She just went out for a smoke. In the end, all of us had to leave because our stuff was in the same locker. Whole night wasted for no reason. Not a nice way to treat paying customers.

Security supervisor Valeria kicked me out and rightly so, but she handled me with such grace, made sure I got home safe and I think I’m in love with her. It was an absolute pleasure. The way she handled me and how she lead her colleagues partly turned me on but also impressed me with her professionalism. If I wasn’t banned, I would return just for her. Give this wonderful woman a raise.

The songs, dj and environment was fine. But what irritated me the most is the service. I was there with a friend and we were taking our shots on a table with seats. After I finished my shots a lady with a bucket comes and takes my shot glass. A few minutes later I fix my makeup and we’re getting ready to go on the dance floor and a lady with braids comes up and goes “did you just put the shot glass in your bag?” I’m absolutely shocked and say, “no, the lady with the bucket took it.” she replies with the most condescending tone, “no you’re fine but I just saw you put it in your bag”. I reply “you can check my bag, what you saw was my lip gloss”. she then walks up to the bar and talks to the person behind and I can tell she’s talking about me. I walk up and hear as she’s saying, “I saw her put it in her bag”. I say, “you can check my bag, the other lady took it”. She goes, “nooo you’re fine” and then I say, “it’s none of your business though”. She replied, “I work here”. and then I go, “then check my bag, because I didn’t take it”. the lady behind the bar then motions us to go, and then I left to go to the dance floor because I didn’t want her actions to ruin my night. Absolutely disgusting treatment from security and manager. Group of 12 went in and paid $20 each for entry only for one member of the group to be singled out and kicked out for being drunk even though he was the most sober after only 5 mins being in the club. Decided to kick us out after we all paid as opposed to not letting them in at point of entry. Racial profiling at its finest, manager had a chip on their shoulder and was clearly aroused by the altercation to make more $$ by way of scam. Don’t recommend at all and stay away unless you’re into being scammed!

I will give detailed information about this place; The bearded security guard at the entrance is very polite. When you enter, you are greeted by friendly people again. But there are not enough lockers inside, so you have to carry your coat by hand. If you put your coat aside, the female attendant takes it and throws it on the floor. I saw it myself. The ventilation inside looks good. Frankly, I would have preferred more laser lights. Also, with too much light, people prefer not to dance. The drinks were good.
